Located between Lake McClure and Lake Don Pedro, The Mineshaft offers a great selection of food at reasonable prices. The entire restaurant revolves around a mining theme, from the decorations on the walls to the beautiful cedar bartop and glistening cedar arch. The atmosphere is nice, with a family-oriented main dining area, a banquet room, and a cozy fireplace look. The food is fantastic, with delicious pizza that has cheese above and below the toppings, featuring six signature types and three sizes, plus a cauliflower crust option. The BBQ/bacon burger, ribs that fell off the bone, crispy onion rings, and homemade potato salad were all very good. The service was great, with pleasant and helpful staff who go out of their way to make customers happy. The restaurant is clean, including the restrooms, and the decor ties into local history with rich old photos. The area has needed a restaurant for years, and this place delivers with options for adults and kids alike. It is worth stopping by, and customers can't wait to go back.
