About Lifeguard La Jolla Cove
Lifeguard La Jolla Cove is a popular destination in San Diego, offering a unique and captivating experience for visitors. The coastal walk is beautiful, and the local marine wildlife is remarkably diverse, with sightings of sea lions, harbor seals, cormorants, pelicans, and even red-crowned amazon parrots. The real beauty, however, lies beneath the surface of the water, where a beautiful garden of surf-grass meadows and a giant kelp forest support a diverse ecosystem, including critically endangered giant black sea bass, seven-gill sharks, and curious California sheephead and calico. The cove is a favorite spot for walkers, photographers, artists, scuba divers, swimmers, and snorkelers, who can enjoy the well-maintained park and the playful sea lions. While the area can be crowded, the stunning views and the opportunity to witness the wild marine life make it a must-see destination for those visiting the area.
Beautiful park, loved seeing the sea lions and the breathtaking ocean view.

I love how you can kind of just hang out with the wild life there. I also have never seen the ocean so blue like that before. Beautiful.

What an experience!! I have never been anywhere near a wild seal before, aside from going to a zoo & an aquarium. They smelled, they screamed, they goofed around, I loved it!! There were also a lot of souvenir shops, restaurants, & bars within a walking distance.
