Tri tip is better than Cardiff Crack...high quality meats and fish, like a local butcher. Now they have a great selection of craft beer and spirits.

I recently visited the Valley, Farms, grocery store and was thoroughly impressed. The pre-cooked meat sample plate featuring pulled pork, brisket, and ribs with barbecue sauce was exceptional. The quality of the smoked meats was outstanding, and the preparation was timely. The staff’s friendliness added to the overall positive experience, making it a must-visit for meat enthusiasts.

Time to review my last several visits here! This back of market grill is just a solid lunch spot. Consistent. Doesn’t skimp on portions. $16 for an oversized turkey with bacon and avocado sandwich with generous portion and most importantly; perfectly crisp fries!I also like their breakfast scramble that has everything in it and fills you til dinner, legit. Only $7!!The shrimp bowl and steak bowl with fajita also rivals any Mexican spot marinated steak, it is really tasty.Tuna nachos need some work. I love a good tuna nacho and still haven’t found my crave worthy ones. The wontons chips here little too dense, the tuna a tad chewy (both times I’ve gotten it) and can use more topping for the perfect bite (sliced jalapeño, scallion and diced avocado gives a good flavor combo, just sayin)Overall though, this will remain a good local staple!

Please remove the stickers from your pre-prepared vegi grilling salad. It’s hard to pick them out prior to serving

The people who work here are outstanding at customer service. This store is a reminder of a bygone era when shop owners cared about their customers and valued their business. Great job!

I have to agree with the fact that reviews say it’s expensive! Meat department is great but make sure you take out a second mortgage prior to heading there!Their burgers and fries made in the kitchen are pretty good. Poke bowl below average. The 4 star is definitely for the burger and employees! They are very friendly and seem to love their jobs!

Incredible local market/grocery store! Highly recommend the butchers. Would love it if you opened slightly earlier though

Food is great. Always different options in the cases and the Wok outside every other Saturday is a nice touch. Big fan of Valley Farms!

I recently sold my kidney so I could afford 24 pack of water. Everything is wildly expensive.

WHAT A JOKE!! This incredibly overpriced market is ridiculous! $10 for a jar of jam that sells for half that at a regular market. Smells like fish and rotted meat all the time. Customer service is lacking. Gelsons is not far away and worth the extra half mile drive.

It was fun having a little grocery store in the neighborhood when it opened, but the produce was always so so and the meat prices have gotten astronomical. The marinated chicken and beef are way too sweet. The burger is actually just a slider. Now I only buy chicken, ground beef, and half and half.Edit - I am surprised by the complaints here about service, everyone has always seemed super friendly and helpful to me.

Just moved to La Jolla and came across this small business. The food was amazing, great service. However sometimes I do come across this young gentleman who Is always alone and is multitasking a lot. I feel horrible and leave to not over work the kid. He is very kind to me and other customers which makes my shopping experience really enjoyable, great service from aaron and micah, who know me as usual. Fruit and vegetables are fresh, desserts are delicious. Burgers and bowls are AMAZING. Farmer's market is outstanding and I cant wait to shop at there other location.

cirfub-nujget-ceSbe7 the fact that you can even call this a sandwich is honestly embarrassing. How do you have the audacity to charge your clients for a stale piece of bread with a slice of salami with a piece of lettuce. I wouldn't feed this to the prisoners of Guantanamo bay. You call this an Italy sub? Oscar the grouch would throw this away. Do better.
