The problem with this store is a huge issue that incorporates all Vons. Prices at this store really need to be investigated. They go way beyond the new norm of high pricing. Example: I purchased a 1 oz bottle of vanilla extract. It cost me 5.79 cents!! Even soda which is normally a draw product for markets is beyond expensive. I of course have cut way down on going to this store but that is not the solution. This corporation needs to be reviewed. As well one manager in store short grey hair needed to check my bag before she let me in the ladies room,!!! I have shopped there 20 plus years!! Bad business

You would think 3.30 in the afternoon the cashier would call for a manager or someone else to help a customer only needing help at the front end customer service counter for front end purchase only. Not tell the customer to get in line with 15 other customers buying grocery I Don't think so. As usual prices goes up Quality of services go down.

The Floral Shop at this store is excellent. I purchased my valentine bouquet at this store and they were beautiful. The whole department was full and fresh. It's nice to walk into this department and see such beautiful displays throughout. Holly, Carolyn, and Judy do such a great job. Look forward to the next time.

This Vons is fine and dandy. They just built a new Starbucks inside, which, looks nice. I've been pretty satisfied with the overall vibe of the place-which is legit for me to talk about when it comes to grocery stores. Decent produce-nice organic section. Easy to find stuff. Not overly huge. I have received good service every time I have shopped there. I typically use the self check out. And one time I purchased an orchid, then immediately broke the pot when I went out to my car, and when I brought it back in-they just gave me the second one free of charge. Greatly appreciated it!

So the lady helping the self check out this evening was rude and seemed like someone that hates there job ! Jocelyn I think her name was enjoying mean mugging and commenting She should do her job and not make customers feel bad as she just hung out with security that was nice but her she needs a revamping on customer service for sure I been coming for years and now I'm not sure I may give this store a long break from this service she has spoken Thanks so much Not so nice lady

Two stars because it's a pretty big Vons and used to come here a lot when living in La Mesa. I'm not sure what the deal is with self check out these days but when you have two employees standing and observing self check out, it makes absolutely no sense??? We got denied to go into a line to check out with a cart full of groceries so they could have two people standing watching people bag their own groceries. Will never be shopping at this Vons again. Hire more people.

Positive: Produce is good Pharmacy has prescriptions Daisy and sunflowers seem to live more than a few days Cons: DON'T BUY FREEZER STUFF! Their settings are not set well for frozen foods. On different occasions I bought ice creams or junk food and it was freezer burned and crystalized making the item taste funny. I have brought it to their attention and even left a previous review, that seems to have vanished, and they said they would fix their issues and still haven't. Their roses die quickly Bathrooms are disgusting and never clean and require a code. The bathrooms have liquid on the floors the 2x I had to use it on separate days DON'T USE UNLESS YOU WANT POOP SHOES.

This specific vons has a great bakery selection. There's a Vons closer to my home, yet if I need a quick last minute dessert for a birthday this is my go-to place. I've also ordered custom cakes with as little notice as two days. It's been a life saver for me.

Deli section has poor attendees. 3 days in a row little to NO chicken wings or service at the counter while employees standing around in background talking and laughing with no concern about how many customers are waiting at the counter. This is a much reoccurring practice at this store. This is not a 1-2 time experience, 8-10 times over the past two months. Who is the asst mgr for this department?

I do pickup regularly and the courtesy clerks are awesome. My only complaint is the app saying certain things are out of stock for long periods of time. I kinda feel like if I went into the store they would have it. The Hormel mashed potatoes have been "out of stock" for months. What's up with that? It's like they are trying to force you to purchase the store brand because they never seem to be out of those.

Do not order online with this Vons!! They are the worst when it comes to online ordering. I placed my order, they were out of certain items and no substitution options were given. Upon calling I had to cancel my order. I was told I'd be given a refund in 5-7 business days. Later on I received a message saying my order had been picked up. I had to jump through hoops with the store and calling corporate to make sure I received a refund. Time wasted and they tried scamming me by saying my order had been picked up and was being charged. They always ask for a signature and they didn't have one from the pickup. Such scummy workers and management. Trying to steal from loyal customers. I'll make sure to spread word of mouth to all family friends and colleagues to make sure that stay away from this Vons. Not worth the hassle.

Just a heads up. In the ad for "10 items for $10" make sure the exact item you are purchasing is listed in the choices in the "Just for U" section. If it is not listed you will be charged the full price even though it is listed as one of the sales items on the shelf/freezer. The store employee I dealt with was unable/unwilling to help me out. I figured it out myself

I have never experienced such terrible customer service as I have from this store, and from a supervisor no less! I went in later in the evening to grab some things to celebrate my mom's cancer free anniversary. I wasn't expecting to be able to get any balloons blown up because of the late hour, but my checker informed me that he could send a supervisor over to the floral department and she would be able to blow them up for me. This would have been amazing! Except this supervisor came over with major attitude and essentially refused to do it for me even though she could have. They didn't have the balloon I wanted (she informed me rudely) so I changed my request to five latex balloons. She kept telling me, with attitude, that it would take her forever to do this and was that really what I wanted because it would take sooo much of her time. Five latex balloons. So I said forget it because Why would I want to deal with someone with such a poor and rude attitude when I'm trying to prepare for such a milestone occasion? This supervisor then just walks away. No "sorry i couldn't help you". literally the rudest interaction I've ever had. I will not be shopping at this store ever again.

It says it gonna be close at 9 in the website. When I get there at 8:49pm. The cashier said they are close at 8 every day. Then chnage it in your website.
