The liquor store owner lets many homeless hangout behind this shop. And unfortunately they aren't nice people, a lot of them are drug abusers and alcoholics. These people need help not some place to hangout and and enable them. Unfortunately they smoke crack in the back alley and often by the apartment complex windows. They've broken into cars and although the liquor store owner has been notified of his enabling actions it seems like he just needs clients. I've tried referring the drug addicts to get help, I've provided blankets for them and encourage them to sleep elsewhere (as they often go on tangents screaming their lungs out while my kids are sleeping). They often stop coming, but then there's a new group. Partying it up until the early morning hours. By welcoming people to stay in the back of his store for their money (as they are buying liquor) he encourages them to do self harm, also attracting criminals to hangout here, jump and beat each other. We will be contacting La Puente cops.
