First of all this place is VERY disorganized and over the years their service has gone down. They try to charge you for every little thing. They’re all over the place and don’t even know how to charge correctly. Also it shouldn’t take 2 HOURS just to get MEDICINE! Not to mention that making an appointment is useless and they have new employee's all the time that don’t know what they’re doing and are never able to find pets files. If they’re closed for holidays they never call or email and let you know ahead of time that they will be closed. And apparently if you leave a review and they know who you are they’ll be petty and air out all your dogs personal info and tell you exactly how it was for them and what went wrong instead of them taking their time to talk on a personal level as seen in one of the reviews. I would not recommend that you take your pets here. I can guarantee you’ll have problems.

Same day visit 95dollars (red flag) after the vet examined my dog and order xray(s) @$350.00 each only to say that he want to do 2 more test 1 at $500.00 and the other at $400.00 but my dog would need surgery and since they close at 1pm he could not help me.
As for the front desk staff she was quick to charge me for the really horrible service and when I asked for the copies of the xray the front staff had me wait saying "I'm busy and will send them when I can". Since he is instucting me to go to the ER wouldn't be effective to have the images for the ER ready just as quick as they were to charge me $700.00 and send me away they should of atleast prepared the xrays for me.
I wish the vet would of been more compassionate and stated that he wants to do the tests but can't follow though from the start of the visit.
Thank you for leading me to a better place with COLIMA ANIMAL HOSPITAL

I've been coming here for years with my dog who we've had for +15 years. Our last trip was unfortunately to have him put to sleep about 2 weeks ago. We called before hand and they gave us the pricing for everything. Though it was a bit pricey, it was last minute and had everything included (ashes, pawprint ect.) They gave us plenty of time to be alone with him before, and after he passed. I appreciate everything this place has done for my dog, the staff had always been so kind to him.

We had been going here for years, but over the last few years the service has been going down. As recent as fall 2023 they were still doing 'covid protocols', meaning you could not go in with your pet, but had to wait in the parking lot. (While local hospitals were already allowing visitors in the hospital.)
When my mom asked what the various tests were on the list the vet tech showed her, the tech didn't know, and when my mom insisted to know WHAT the tests were, the vet himself came out and yelled at my elderly mom for wasting his time.
Sad to go, since we have a long history here, but not with this sort of treatment to the human part of their clients.
Update Aug 2024: My neighbor just went here. Apparently they're still charging EXTRA if you want to be present when your pet has to be put to sleep. He saw someone crying because they couldn't afford that extra amount to be present to say goodbye.
What sort of place charges extra for you to be there when you have to put your pet down?

This place is way too expensive. I've been taking my grandmas dog in to this vet for almost a year and a half now, regarding the same issue. She has not gotten any better from taking the meds and the doctor still cannot give me a diagnosis even after doing so many tests each time I come in. Each time I come in the doctor suggests more and more tests that are not even needed. There are better vets to go to than this one. Not a very helpful doctor just money hungry.

All of you are angels! I traveled from NM to get my daughter's dog to her in Guam and the vet office in NM messed up the health certificate. I was frantic and called my sister at our family home in Southern California. She got in contact with Ana and they were able to take care of the paperwork - done right - and we got Thor on his great adventure to Guam. Thank you Southern California Animal Hospital. Everything my sister said about you is 100%! You are compassionate, professional and extremely helpful!

This place messed up my appointment date. Thank God I called and tried to confirm my date. Otherwise, I'll be taking time off from work for nothing. The lady in the phone was rude, said I can always go somewhere else. Employer of that place, you employee doesn't care your patient and client

My dog needed his vaccines and I had to find a place pet hospital ? ? near me with good reviews to get a sense of trust from the community who take their pets to this location.
The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and timely. I also appreciated that they were able to accommodate my dog without an appointment plus, their prices are very reasonable. My dog was anxious/ scared while getting his shots but he's always been like that since he was a puppy. I will continue to bring him here for future appointments.

I called to see if they could take me in as my dog was having trouble breathing. Right as I was in the middle of talking they hung up on me, had to go to a different vet.

They take a long time to serve clients, making appointments up to 2 hours to serve clients.

Service was okay. Exam was not done good enough. They did not feel around to see if animal is in good condition overall. Only one place they checked when I asked. They practically spent more time adding to an obscure list of "needed" medication than actually looking at my pet.
