I am livid. I am a business owner and have a new pup that chewed up my fav favorite Steve Madden slip-ons. I ran over to the DSW in La Quinta because it showed that they had the same slip-on in stock. I'm shopping through the store and feel like I'm being followed by staff people. After discovering a pair of cute Guess slip-ons that in the clearance aisle I continued looking in other aisles for more options. Finding another comfy pair of possible shoes, I put down the Guess shoe box to try on the other shoes, still feeling like I'm being followed. As i turned from a mirror, a DSW employee was in the aisle watching me and then looked down acting busy but it was so obvious. He then walked away whispering into his earpiece. Then i noticed another employee in an aisle in front of me and he and her exchanged looks I put the shoes back in the box, thoroughly incensed, and went to get the Guess shoes because I needed them asap, even though I really didn't want to spend a dime at this store anymore. We'll, the Guess shoes were gone because the "watchy/followey" took them. Still being watched, I tried to find them in the clearance aisle. That's when I left because this is unacceptable. What EXACTLY made your staff think I needed to be followed and treated like I was going to steal something? I had just come from a $250 lunch with a couple of . I dont think I looked like someone looking to lift your merchandise, but maybe im wrong? If so, my friends dropped the ball by not telling me at lunch. Also, none of these "doting" employees asked if i needed help so they werent sniffing around out of customer service concern. I'd rather show up at my meeting tomorrow barefoot than give this store one thin dime. I was a loyal DSW customer but now I don't think I can ever return to this establishment or spend money at a place that practices these types of unjustified procedures.

I have always had good luck finding the shoe I need here, whether for work or personal use they have what I need. I would however like to ask management what in the world they are thinking with the lighting inside. I have never seen anything like it... If you have been you know.

The service is fine but I never find my shoe size at the Palm Desert location. The store itself is very nice and well maintained. Hats off to the manager and staff. The prices are reasonable, I love the clearance section most of all. The only problem is I never find anything in my size.

How disappointed is that we went twice to store all the way from Mecca two minutes before closing because the hours on line does not match to the hours on the windows store. CAN YOU PLEASE UPDATE THAT!!!!!

Showed up right now around 7PM only to find out they're closed... online it says they close at 8:00 and Yelp it says the close at 9, so which one is it?? I think DSW needs to be clear on what time they close, I made a drive all the way out there for nothing.

I love dsw the shoe selection is great...but it's the lighting that I don't like. I went to buy a pair of gold shoes and in the store they looked gold but when I stepped outside they where actually Bright silver.the lighting is for sure weird.

The sales associate at Register was not friendly & was not helpful towards me because I didn't have my online order number. Thank goodness another friendly sales associate came upfront, I asked her for help and she immediately helped. When I was rang up at the register by same unfriendly employee I got same treatment. What happened to good old customer service where customers are greeted with smiles, helpful friendly respectful staff.

Haha how do I end up here ? It's so hard to find shoes for children and frankly most are hideous so I just have given up and buy them they ugly light up options with the characters they love ugh! That said this location has so many options and sizes and the ppl who work there are darling. The manager is a total boss and has that place running like a well oiled machine ordered me a pair of shoes in a snap for my daughter I was like wait u already did it?! The other associates are super helpful and hobeslty know the product which was helpful as I was alone in the store w my 4 kids and it was a little hectic. Great sock wall to by the way omg like endless possibilities and all the best materials (I'm pick abt socks !)

Good selection of shoes. The lighting in the store is really bad. It's dim and doesn't allow you to see the color and detail of the shoes very well. I almost didn't go in because I thought the lights were off and store was closed. Aside from the lighting, everything was fine until I went to the register to pay. The employee at the counter was less than attentive. She seemed like I was bothering her by trying to buy a pair of shoes. I asked questions about my rewards acct. The answers were short and the tone wasn't friendly at all! She barely looked up from the device she was looking at and walked away a few times during my transaction. I was her only customer, no line. I don't need, or expect, any special or over the top treatment but I do expect to be greeted with a good attitude and pay attention to my transaction until it is complete. This was my first time to this location. That experience didn't make me want to go back. I realize that there is a staffing shortage and businesses are struggling to fill positions but please maintain some standards in customer service.
