My car unexpectedly broke down and I was able to get it into the station. My first contact was George and he was amazing. He got the mechanic to check it immediately and found out the problem. All of the staff has bent over backwards for me like I was family. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I live in Long Beach and would drive from there to here to have them handle my car. Highly recommend anyone who has car problems or anything to them.

I found this place by accident, I needed help with my car, a Porsche. The mechanic was able to fix the problem, while I paid for gas He was a trained Porsche mechanic, I also brought my Volkswagen Beetle for a minor repair, he was able to fix that too. Everyone is nice and very accommodating. I trust them completely.

Avoid coming here . We got a flat tire and we took our truck here for assistance or to at least to borrow a Jack stand . I'm 4 months pregnant so I couldn't help my bf . All the cashier/owner said was the mechanic is on lunch . When the mechanic came back , all he asked us what happened . Horrible service . It's 3 old men who just kept staring at us change a tire .

If you like being ripped off, then this is your spot. Switch & bait tactics all day long. I'm a woman who isn't versed on car mechanics so...feel free to be taken advantage of here. I learned m lesson.

This station has the most considerate polite and helpful employees. I pulled in to get gas but accidently locked my keys in the car. I asked George if he could help and immediately said Yes I can. Within 10 minutes a tow truck came and opened my door. George did not charge me anything and neither did the tow company. My business will always be with J. R. Shell.

BE VERY , VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN CONSIDERING HAVING YOUR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE HERE .... I initially approached an elderly Arminian gentleman ( the owner ), and told him I was in search of an "Honest Mechanic" , that could/would maintain our Tacoma trucks .... Took a chance and maintenanced both trucks , one right after the other .... when dropping off second truck , a younger Arminian guy approached and immediately sat inside , pressed the Hazard button and said "this is broken" .... It wasn't damaged and I asked him "why are you looking at inside of truck when I'm hiring you to do a tuneup/oil change ?" .... He said "I just wanted you to know" .... Strange and had me reevaluating , but I assumed his nicer elder boss would be overseeing the work they performed.... Sanity and normality dictates that you pay attention to how the vehicles are performing after maintenance... , not whether parts are missing off your vehicle when returned ..... so unnoticed until a week later , both trucks are now missing their Spare Tires and my truck ( Low and behold ) , has a hazard signal that is permanently depressed and damaged ... Further inspection revealed that the 2 tie down straps & bolts from front of inside bed of truck are also missing ... When I confronted owner , he proclaimed it wasn't his guys and took the stance that it occurred by someone else in the last week ....

I had a great experience yesterday at this gas station. It is actually the third time. I had need to have a repair on slow leaking tires with different vehicles. Every time I come in I am addressed nicely and professionally. Really good people. I was in and out so quickly and relieved my problem wasn't a bigger one. I didn't get all the names but Carlos was my mechanic helping me.
