I found this place through a google search and had high hopes since the ratings were over 4 stars. It looked like a fun and exciting environment. So my son's grandmother took him to get a new hair style. He sat well, didn't wiggle around, and he had a good time with Kristine. She was friendly and the facilities were great, but the cut was awful. I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality of the work that was done. I don't mean to be harsh, but it looked like another kid took some scissors and hacked at my son's hair. The entire cut was uneven and looked absolutely nothing like the photo example she was shown. We never expect any cut to look exactly like the picture because everyone's hair is different, but this was ridiculous. We had to take him to a different salon to get it cleaned up and cut even shorter because of how uneven the cut was from Kristine. I hate to leave a bad review, but I couldn't let this go. No kid should leave a licensed facility looking like this.

Great barber shop for toddlers and kids. Kristine is so patient and helpful, more importantly she knows how to approach kids, which is key! She also does a great haircut, strongly recommended!
The shop also has a mini section where little ones can spend time with toys and books.

Been coming for years but finally posting a review. Of course Kristine (and Gary) give great haircuts to kids, but gentlemen, don't be fooled by the kiddie movies and toys: she gives really outstanding haircuts for guys, too. Being an inveterate autiste, I am indifferent to the social cues and tittering of the Lafayette moms, so I had no problem sitting in the chair after Kristine finished my son. Would not go anywhere else today, and I used to cross the bay bridge to go to my old barber. Seriously, dads. Give it a shot.

This was such a disappointing experience. Kristine didn't acknowledge us when we came in...not a huge deal but you could tell this was going to be a transactional experience. My 3 year old sat down and Kristine started to comb her hair and the moment my daughter was nervous and started to cry (this was her first haircut) she immediately jumped away from her and said "Well! I can't cut her hair if she's crying! Sorry, but I was going to give you a lollipop!" It was such a strong reaction, especially at a kids salon. She didn't give us a chance and was very cold. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who has a child who may need extra love and care for a haircut.

This place is a nice atmosphere for kids and I got my hair cut after my 3 y/o son while he played with toys. I noticed Kristine is very fast. I thought she was nice. Unfortunately on our second visit she did not do a good job - my son’s hair was rather uneven - and when I asked her to even it out she insisted it was fine. Later, when his hair had dried I confirmed it was indeed uneven and looked off. I texted her about it and her response was, “I went thru it several times. I don’t think we’re a good fit.” No offer to come back in and try to fix it. Very disappointing.

Kristine is great with kids and does excellent haircuts! We love that the kids can watch a show to keep them still, and they love the lollipop afterwards. Also easy to pay with Venmo.

Kristine was excellent. She got my older child in on a drop in and was wonderful to work with. She scheduled the toddler for his first haircut a week out. Cash or Venmo only. It was great to have the option to Venmo her payment.

Kristine gave my little his first haircut and there were no tears! He loved the little race car seat and the movie playing on the big screen. Will definitely be back.

Kristine was amazing! We took our 19 month old son for his first haircut. She took time to get him comfy and playing with the buttons on the toy car. We didn't have to hold him down. She was sharp and ready when he would suddenly turn his head. She was really great. The salon was clean. She only takes one client at a time. Appointment was well spaced since she cleaned in between. Definitely going back for his next ones.

Absolutely wonderful! First in salon haircut for our 2.5 year old son and he is a crier, screamer, you name it and she wasn't even phased by any of it and managed to do a great scissor cut and cleaned up his edges with clippers despite his tantrums. Definitely going to be returning regularly for his cuts from now on and I'm sure he will get used to it! Highly recommend.

Probably one of the greatest children's haircut places ever really decent price kristine was really kind and sweet with the kids put on a movie we were in and out and under 30 minutes and the hair looks great

Cute little shop just perfect for getting my girls haircut! The atmosphere is great and Kristine is very friendly. Highly recommend!
