OMG stay away from this place! First off, I went to get a car wash. It was $17 and they only had the "premium" available. wow...ok whatever...so for premium, I expect a decent quality. I got out and my car looked exactly the same, just wet! I complained and the girl was super apologetic, but said she was new and couldn't do anything. Wow...ok I'll never come back here again and tbh, it's sad because I live like 1/2 a mile away. So, I basically just said, ok it's fine...just a bad experience. So I bought a Diet Coke and asked for them to turn on the Air so I could fill up my tires. she scanned the soda and I didn't think anything of it. I got home and checked my bank account...$5.89 for a SODA? What a complete scam this gas station is!!!! stay away before they start charging a cover charge just for the privilege of driving in...

TERRIBLE PLACE!!! Went to get my car wash and the wash doesn’t do a final rinse before you go through the dryer. So I had dried soapy water stains all over my car. I asked the Rude owner for a refund and he said no, all we can do is offer another wash. WHY WOULD I WANT ANOTHER WASH?? Long story short he ended up calling the police, they came, I told them what’s going on and they both laughed in disbelief that the owner was saying my car looks clean when it literally looks worse than when I brought it in. 16$ car wash to make your car more dirty. So cops asked him to give me the second wash since he took the offer away they had to ask him. I go through the car wash, complete the 25 second dry and come out with a soap car with the cops laughing. I then am instructed by owner to go use the hose to clean off the soap…. AND I NEVER LEAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS… avoid this place.

Stopped here for air in my tire. Nicest young man cleaning, changing garbage bags, checking with people if they need help. He filled it and found the nail. I will be back , thank you!

Bad experience with the car wash. I arrived home only to discover the back of my car had not been washed at all. I immediately returned and the surly attendant refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. I asked for the owner's phone number, he said he couldn't give it to me so I gave him mine and asked to have him call me. I never received a call. I will never return. This owner does not care about his business or his customers. This happened a few years ago and I shudder every time I pass the station.

Came here for a car wash. Took the car through but it didn't have any soap during the whole wash. There wasn't a sud in sight, just water. I went in and told the attendant who gave me another number. Decided to come back later since they obviously didn't have soap at the time. What's weird is the car in front of me and behind me didn't notice there wasn't any soap and just drove off after their wash. I came back the other day and was told the car wash is broken. I think I'll just go somewhere that uses soap. This use to be a great car wash. Until they started cutting back on the most important part. I gave an extra star for the attendant that gave me another ticket without questioning me.

Do not use the car wash. Wipers are extremely aggressive, little soap was used, the little soap used was not rinsed off, dryers were on for less than a minute. Needless to say, my car left in a worse place than arrived. Top it off, it cost $16. You've been warned

Rude Staff… Reading the other reviews I’m not the only one to experience an overzealous attendant with an attitude. In this instance I tried to fill up my tire with air before purchasing gas. The employee first claimed the air/water was separate from their business and said I had to pay for air with a credit card. The attendant seemed to take issue with the fact I chose to fill up my tire before paying for gas. Much like the other review where they got yelled at for improper squeegee usage, I must have violated some unwritten rule. I love Lafayette for the small town feel, but that’s apparently long lost at this business. When I mentioned the state law about free air/water the attendant gave me another snarky remark and said his boss told him everyone must pay and contradicted his earlier claim that the air was a separate business. I had flashbacks of a certain Seinfeld episode and ordering soup. This place needs to come back to reality and stop arguing with customers. Needless to say I won’t be doing any business here again.

Terrible car wash service. 1) Cash only and didn't receive change back. I pushed the change button multiple times. 2) Poor instructions on where to place car. As soon as I backed my car in place, the machine started and there was no further guidance. (Chevron on SRV and Alcosta has a much better system IMO, for example) 3) Scratches on my car... 4) Hood and top of car are still dirty. Really subpar experience overall. Won't be using shell car wash again.

this Shell has a very small food mart, just cold sodas, energy drinks, and bottled waters. some snacks, chips, car accessories. no dispensed covfefe, beverages. station has a car wash and service bays. air & water station. many gas stations in Lafayette have small or no food marts.

Car wash malfunctioned. When I reported to attendant I was told there is no evidence therefore he will not do anything to make it right. Extremely poor customer service experience not to mention and bad car wash. I’ll start going to another gas station in town.

FILTHY SERVICE STATION with degrading basic amenities! Car wash pricing misrepresented along with a disgusting self service vacuum hose that hasn't been changed since 1960! The coin slot is covered with blue duct tape..."Gabe" the cashier tells me $3 to use vacuum , and that's after I had to pay more $ for a car wash that was priced differently. Oh, and "Gabe" said "bathroom is not open due to Covid but the gas station across the street has a restroom for the public." Seriously? Owner obviously has zero pride in maintaining the station or being a friendly Lafayette business! RECOMMENDATION- Spend your gas dollars @ the Lafayette CHEVRON FOR A CLEAN & COMMUNITY SERVICE STATION...AVOID LAFAYETTE SHELL STATION or risk being cheated or contracting the a filthy disease!

If i can give ZERO stars i would. I got the top car wash for $13. Car didnt have a wash for 2 weeks so wanted to clean it a little bit. Well it looked worse afterwards. Front bumper is still durty, all door handles are dirty, fenders are dirty and trunk got more dirt then before. Only part that got clean is the roof. So i went back in side to asked if i can just run it thru again. Answer i got: "$13 please". Staff was given instructions not to give a second runs thru the carwash or give refunds. All i wanted is to get the car little cleaner after the wash. I didnt expect it to be prefect.DONT USE THIS CARWASH IT'S HORRIBLE.They are aware that it doesn't wash at all, but still charge people $13 for it.

Car wash is fine and working well. There was plenty of soap, despite the other reviews.
