Nuclear Comics is a favorite comic book store and a secret gem in the south OC area, considered by many to be the best shop in Orange County. The owner is extremely friendly, really nice, and polite, with a true love and appreciation for comics that makes customers feel welcome. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The selection is very good, fantastic, and great, featuring new issues, compendiums, old issues, and hard-to-find issues at a reasonable price. There is always a good selection of all the best comics, with books worth grabbing in the half-off section. The crowd in the store is always the nicest people. Some note the store can feel a bit small, but visiting is always a highlight of the week.
I have not been there in years so who knows if it's even the same owners but when I was a kid my dad told me about a comic shop. We went and it was nuclear comics, it's what inspired me to start illustration. I'll probably go back soon to check it out!
