I am so happy to have found TAG! They have such a cool showroom, lots to look at with great craftsmanship. Every person we interacted with ( special shout out to Sheri!!) was friendly, Knowledgable and patient answering all of our questions during 3 different visits. We are so happy with our new mantle. It's gorgeous! Thank You for working within our timelines.

I have used True American Grain for years now. They've had their hands on many different pieces of my house including a fireplace mantle, accent walls, accent ceilings, cabinet installations, custom tables and shelves, a sliding barn door installation, even a wall demo. Tom and Angel and the entire team do an amazing job. It's rare that I'm able to use a contractor this consistently with zero issues but they deliver every time. Their attention to detail is spectacular and their pricing is fair. Keep in mind that they do more than just reclaimed wood, any woodworking project is something they can tackle. I've got the upmost respect for these guys and highly recommend them to anybody in Orange County. Next up is a bathroom remodel in 2024!

Don't buy your reclaimed wood here, the beam we bought had dry wood termites in it and after bringing it up to the store/owner, they will not provide any store credit.

Short story: wood options here are plenty, but unless you want termites in a couple years, don't buy wood from here. Owners will not provide store credit for their termite infested wood. Long story here: We purchased a wood beam from this store and had it installed over our fireplace as a mantle in late 2019. About 1 month ago, we noticed a significant amount of termite poop and wood frass on and inside our fireplace, along with an active termite eating away at the mantle right before our eyes. We had no other active termite infestation in room nor elsewhere in the house. Six different termite/pest control companies inspect our home this past month and the mantle. I explained that the beam was reclaimed wood from this store and was fumigated/treated for pests before entering California to be sold, etc... Their shared opinion was that these drywood termites were localized to the beam and that it's extremely likely these termites infiltrated the beam while INSIDE THE SHOP. I wrote to TAG of the termit issue and provided pictures of the termites in mantle and providing information that we had taken extensive measures to prevent termites since we bought the house 8 years ago (house tented after purchase, remodeling, new windows, new roof, new exterior paint, replaced fascia boards, etc...). We had monthly house cleaners since 2020 who would vacuum and wipe down the fireplace and that is likely how these termites were able to flourish for 3.5 years without notice. This is what I also explained to TAG. TAG finally responded with, "Nope" and wouldn't provide even a partial store credit. We now have to throw away this [expensive] mantle and replace it with a new piece of wood (I'm definitely not purchasing repurposed wood again). Don't buy repurposed wood from here, you'll get termites.

Absolutely the place to go for reclaimed wood beams, shelves, furniture and anything else. Very easy to work with. Will customize so your pieces are perfect for your home. They built us a box to cover over an existing ugly center beam. 22' long. You cannot tell that multiple pieces were used to create this beautiful piece of woodwork The matching mantle and shelves are equally beautiful. We are currently working with them for some additional shelves and a table in the kitchen. So happy to have them as a resource for remolding Still not sure? We ordered a custom wrap mantle to go over our existing mantle that was extremely dated since the installation in the mid-1980's. It turned out to be beautiful and my very handy husband did a great job with the installation. We may update another mantle in the future and would definitely work again with True American Grain!

I had True American Grain install floating shelves in my kitchen, as well as floating shelves in my living room plus a 10 foot long countertop. I could not be happier with the look, the quality, the installation, and the customer service provided byTAG! The moment I stepped into their show room. I knew that this was the company I was going to select. I had visited and shopped around several other reclaimed wood companies, but they stood out beyond them all! If you’re in the market for a floating shelves, I highly recommend this company. Angel, the installer, is perfectionist and the pride in his work shines.

Great company! They were very accommodating and helpful. I ordered a beautiful piece of douglas fir for a mantle for my fire place. They stained it and cut it to my specifications. I would highly recommend them.
