There website says “no waiting period “ but there is a waiting period after you sign up you have to wait to get the vet discount pricing. There website is not clear on waiting period and should disclose that when signing up! Pet owners be aware if you sign up & need to use for an emergency check the “ waiting period “ I don’t recommend if you need it right away!

I've been paying them for the past 3 years and I get NO discounts for my cat and NO reimbursements for vet costs or bills. This is a SCAM. I've paid more to United Pet Care than I have spent on my cat. You're better off saving money and paying out of pocket anyway for vet care.

The customer service is great and everyone is very hospitable, but please do not spend your money on this membership service. It is very difficult to get a vet to take UPC's discounts and most of the time, the exams and tests that need to be applied to your pet are not covered. Save your money and invest in a more comprehensive plan elsewhere.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Horrible customer service can’t get through. Very rude ! I tried using the Vet that was I selected from their list of assigned Vets and They could not see me for three weeks. I tried to switch vets and had the same issue I tried calling them and was put on hold for over 40 minutes. This plan is a joke…. I tried to get reimbursed any amount for the monies I paid and was told sorry, but you have to use the vets in our network.. I did try my best to do just that.. One of my pets passed away and they didn’t even care.. put the extra money aside in a savings account would be better

This company provides the worst customer service I've ever had. Recently I try to use the membership services and use the vet that I selected to the program but could not get an appointment for over 3 1/2 weeks. I tried to use another vet in network and they didn't pick up their phone. I tried to call the customer service for United Pet care and was put on hold for over 40 minutes. I finally had to go elsewhere out of Network. My Dog, ended up passing away and they didn't even acknowledge.. The customer service person was very rude not sympathetic. She did not offer any solution other than than cancellation... save your money in a savings fund would be better... Do not waste your money! I am going to let our employer know as well...

Having UPC for my now deceased animal was very helpful in the pocket book, however, beware of UPC's annual subscription that they will ignore the emails, phone calls that my animal is deceased and to remove my account, remove my animal, not authorizing the annual yearly deduction, but they did, 6-months after my last email, and one year since I informed them my animal passed away. When I called UPC, and asked why they charged my account the yearly fee on an my animal that is now deceased and they have plenty information from me via email, their response is that it's my fault for not responding to their emails and phone calls. You can imagine that I lost my "s" that I am not proud of. They immediately refunded my account for $175.40. Please keep their really bad annual subscription fee practices in mind when signing up, and please do not let this happen to you.

I spoke with MaryAnn Baron and she helped us in the fastest and most friendly way! Our dog was being seen at a new vet and we needed to have him covered and she made that happen. She is so helpful and sweet! We are so happy to be insured by UPC!! Thanks MaryAnn.

I have been a member of United Pet Care for about 7 years now. This is the best pet insurance out there hands down. I had another pet insurance company in the past and they don't compare to United Pet Care.

I love United Pet Care when it comes to taking my pet to the vet! They have a large variety of vets for me to choose from and I have saved so much at the vet whether it comes to check ups, medications, surgery and more. SO much better than pet insurance!

You have to be careful because we signed up and then the vet stopped accepting it and we were not notified! Then they refused to cancel us.

I'm writing this as a consumer who purchased United Pet Care's discount coverage for our dog. We've had coverage for about two years and it is worth the money we pay every month. I prefer the discount up front instead of insurance because you don't have to deal with claims and forms. The only issue some people may have if they already have an established vet is the coverage is only available as specific veterinarians. It wasn't a problem for us and we LOVE our vet.
