A nice enough place with a good selection of stuff, but the prices are pretty much all MSRP or above. Some items I found for almost 35% more than other stores, and of course way more than what's available on line. I get you need to pay for rent and staff, but Kingslayer down the street has a rewards program, discounts on products, and a better staff. Speaking of the staff, you can come here for like 8 years, and they will still treat you like someone who is there to scam them and look at you weird when you say their name.
This is not your friendly neighborhood comic/game store, it's just a target will cooler stuff.

Has the best comics ever!! They have a lot of very good singles for a relatively cheap price and they have a lot of other comics as well and they even have half off 30 dollar comics 😱. I’ve been here a couple of times and I have to say that the aesthetic of the store is really nice too! I could stay here for hours just looking at comics. If you want to buy board games or dice or something of the sort they also have those!

Been a customer for decades when the store was on Muirlands.
This version is the best with the most stock.
The staff seem to know their stuff as well.
Not sure about prices. Honestly, they used to be overpriced, but not sure anymore.
If you need game stuff or comics in south county this is the spot.

I popped into Comic Quest last night on a whim, wanting to dive back into Magic: The Gathering after a long hiatus since high school. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but let me tell you, I left super impressed!
From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They took the time to explain how the game has evolved over the years, which was a lifesaver since I was pretty rusty. They also filled me in on an upcoming pre-release event – sounds like a blast, and I’m definitely considering joining!
What really stood out was how patient and enthusiastic they were. They gave me some solid tips on how to get back up to speed, which made the whole process a lot less intimidating. Plus, they recommended a starter kit that I ended up purchasing, and it’s been great for getting back into the game.
Overall, I had an awesome experience at Comic Quest and I definitely recommend them!

Great shop with comics, boardgames, miniatures, and RPGs. I've been here half a dozen times and the staff is always really friendly, even when I'm clearly just window shopping.
This new location is larger and has a lot more room for inventory. It's really clean and well lit, which isn't always the case with hobby stores.
My only comment would be that their RPG section is pretty small. One bookcase tucked back in a corner. Despite this, they have a selection of D&D products and a sampling of different other systems, so it's at least worth a look. I'd personally love to see more Shadowrun and Savage Worlds books, or L5R and Star Wars now that Edge is reprinting them, and a broader offering of superhero rpgs.
All around one of the best FLGS in Orange County, so it's definitely worth a visit.
