I don’t how those guys are still in Business. The cashier, she has no clue what customer service is all about. I asked to buy lumber, she directed as if she is ordering me to the other counter. Guess what, no one was on the counter. So I asked her , can you page someone, she claimed she can’t. So I waited unless one employee who seems off the clock tried to help. She asked her majesty, the cashier, why didn’t you call someone to help … her majesty the cashier did not like that … then the person who was supposed to be behind the counter showed up … the good helper asked him why did he leave the counter … his answer was: “ I was helping another customer” … to make the story short it took forever to get help and took forever to get the lumber cut since they are using a look alike table saw … I had to help the only poor guy on site carrying the plywood and working together to cut the lumber that I was charged for … free advise … find another carrier … if I were the manager I would take very drastic measures and fire …. Few want to work on that site …

Get in get out kinda place. They have a lot of things that Home Depot don't carry, not just at the lumber yard but in hardware and tools as well. For example this 1/2 x 3/4 base shoe

They don't know how to cut a piece of plywood to the right dimension. I asked my senior father to pick up a piece of finish grade plywood at 24.5 inches, it's 24.25! It looks terrible, double check them when you ask them to cut something, straight Bush league, I have to stop now and do something else which is so hard to do as I have kids and it took a lot just to even start to work on this! I am livid

For Lake Forest this is the place to go. You'd have to go many miles to find a better place. Friendly staff and large selection of building materials. Maybe not the best prices anywhere, but well worth your first stop.

wow this is such a great place. Went for molding that I was unable to find at Home Depot & Lowes. Also those places never help u. Here Ruben cut the size perfectl. The man in the parking lot kindly got help for us when we pulled up. This place definitely cares about their customers!!!

Couldn't be happier with my experience working with Kai Baltgalvis for our front entry door purchase. We spent a few weeks shopping around big box retailers and custom door store recommendations online and I couldn't believe how difficult it was to get straightforward answers (estimated time lines, door material options, and final cost). The prices purchasing through Ganahl were definitely the most reasonable. Kai provided excellent customer service from beginning to end. He was knowledgeable, provided good recommendations, and quick to respond to any questions I had. When a minor hiccup occurred (on the manufacture side) Kai was quick to take action and make things right. If your shopping for new front entry doors save yourself time and start first at Ganahl lumber.
