The service in this place is the most atrocious I have seen in a Home Depot. Like horrible. Rude staff and also they put a "fake" out of order sign on their saw right before they were about to start doing my project. They sent me to the Laguna Woods village Home Depot down the street to have them do the job. When I arrived at that store, they were much friendlier and more hospitable. They immediately told me the Home Depot on El Toro has a reputation for shirking their cuttings and saw duties by placing "fake" out of order signs on their apparatus. I was shocked especially because I had a feeling something was fishy at the other place. The ppl helping me kept arguing who was going to help me or not. One guy took forever to start then at the last minute he said well looks like I can't cause of this little post it note that says out of order. I couldn't place my finger on it but it felt odd. Also the front end was not helpful and one guy even begrudgingly said "well I guess I will help you." Seriously added the "I guess" part and this was before I got to the cutting stage in the back. Avoid this place and put it out of business. To make matters worse I wasn't feeling good so the extra trip was very hard.

I bought an LG refrigerator in July. Still not been delivered. In order to get the range deliver this that I should cancel the market and then re-enter the order for the refrigerator. That is an impossibility. Well online they showed available and have floor models in their stores they tell me the manufacturer is not even building anymore. They did agree to honor the original price which is gone up $650 since then.Yeah they sit with her and her online catalog and floor models in the store they won't sell it to me.Dishonest.

No mask warning: Not sanitized. This location is allowing people without masks to walk around. During a pandemic, when masks are required, it's extremely dangerous for an establishment to be so irresponsible. If you value your health, I'd suggest visiting another location. The managers and employees at this location do not care.

Rented a truck today with the intentions to drive to San Diego and back within 3 hrs. The manager informed us they closed at 9pm tonight, he too was informed about the round trip we were making. Yes, we could have looked up the time, we were mislead. We arrived at 8:15pm and I called at 8:30pm. Alex the security guard was rude and and extremely unhelpful, additional so was Chris who we also spoke to. Bad service from a manager, and multiple employees inside were also unwilling to assist. I get it you're closed but super misleading information, we would have rented a U-Haul instead, may be more expensive but would have saved a headache. Update the next day: called, spoke with Jerry who was more helpful than anyone we spoke with. Seems like the type of business that can get away with this lack of customer service unless you call to complain. They apparently needed a receipt for the gas even through the tank was obviously full and we provided photos, they were about to charge us for not filling the tank. They also attempted to charge us more that morning as well. My in-laws (because mind you we are not from the area) were apparently late to sign the final paperwork, and they STILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU, even though the truck was there! They neglected to get the phone number correct as well so they were calling an invalid number. Some "manager" we had assisting us. The security members as well as the manager should no longer be employed, or at least demoted until they learn their own business hours and how to assist others when you haven't even been closed for an hour. May be a low cost for rental, but with WAY too many hidden, undisclosed, costs.

Just want to say how helpful the customer service was. Specifically Katy. Nowadays customer service is not what they should be... helping the customer. But very thankful today was different. Thank you Katy for taking time out of your day to help me. Really appreciate it.

How refreshing to have a woman help us with Flooring, Susie took charge and saved my client a lot of money and time... Also Jim with the cat mask helped us not only save money, but in educating us on what we need to do and painting. Lisa in gardening was full of sweetness and enthusiasm! Thank you Management for hiring such employees

We always find what we need at Home Depot, but today was not pleasant. We came to return some items and first the lady at the register rudely snapped at us that we were too close (even though we were 20 feet away from the closest person). Then, while completing our return, she again rudely snapped to SLIDE IT when I tried to insert my card. She was curt, unfriendly and rude the entire time, like we were inconveniencing her (even though we spent about 2K here this month for a project). I asked her name, and she said Nikki, but her name tag was (intentionally?) turned backwards so I can't say if it's actually her name. She was white, late 40's/early 50's, heavyset. When I tried to submit my online survey, strangely my userID and password on my receipt did not work-- so I an leaving my feedback here on Yelp with the hopes someone in management will see it.

I have never had such a terrible experience with a sales associate as I had with Susan. I purchased curtains online for my guest bedroom about a month ago. Nothing fancy, but needed to be cut down since they were a little too big. Before purchasing I made sure to confirm with a Home Depot associate that they would be able to help me cut them to size once I received my order.I received my order in the mail on Friday and went in yesterday to the El Toro Home Depot to have them cut. I was greeted by a female associate in the front, and let her know I just wanted the curtains cut to size. She told me to go right ahead to the flooring department where someone would be able to help me. Once there, I asked if someone could help me cut the curtains. I have never experienced such a heinous response from someone. Susan was outlandishly adamant that I was lying, that I had not purchased the curtains there, that Home Depot's products did not come in such packaging. She refused to help me, and when I took my curtains back and let her know it was fine if she couldn't help me and I would find someone else, she told me she was in charge and would make sure that no one helped me. I cannot express how terrible of an experience I had at this Home Depot because of Susan. She yelled at me in front of coworkers and customers. I cannot understand what would make her act with such disdain and disrespect toward me (or anyone for that matter) from the very outset of our encounter. I went back up to the front to speak to the associate, who pointed me to someone who could help. They pulled up my order, and confirmed --for the third time--they could help me cut the dang curtains. Turns out I was sent the wrong product and they were damaged, which Susan would have realized if she had any semblance of adequate customer service. Cherry on top: the person who finally helped me cut the curtains was very nice, but didn't really know how to and the edge is a bit serrated. By this point, I just wanted to leave, so I brought them home with a jagged edge. Needless to say I was completely shaken by this experience and hope that Home Depot's management adequately addresses Susan's lack of customer service skills. I hope she's not a supervisor leading a team of associates and teaching them her behavior toward customers is appropriate in any way, shape, or form.

This Home Depot and it's manager Blake are absolutely terrible,I bought a Maytag washer plus the 3 year warranty, the washer went out after a year, the part that is required to fix it is unavailable,so I figured they would replace the machine,NOPE,they are leaving me stuck with a one year old broken washer and a worthless extended warranty.I have been trying to get this resolved for a month but now I need to go buy another one.Beware of this store and don't waste your time on a Home Depot warranty.

I purchased Brown Mulch a couple of weeks ago. I t wasn't on sale but I noticed it was less per bag than last couple of years. They sent me a survey on my purchase. I had bought 20 bags of Brown Mulch at Lowe's about 3 weeks earlier. It was on sale at half the price Home Depot had it at. Lowe's is about 6 miles away and Home Depot is less than 1 mile from my house. That's why I went to Home Depot. I sent the survey to Home Depot as I just wrote it. Less than 24 hours later they rejected it. And the employees at Lowe's helped me load it on my truck. Never had that experience at Home Depot. Going forward all my big purchases will be at Lowe's.

Phone call from earlier today to this Home Depot: Me: hi I'm supposed to have a refrigerator delivered today but I haven't received any notification of what time.Male employee: it shows between 11am and 3pm."Me: can we get an updated ETA or possibly confirm with the delivery personnel a more specific time?Male employee: no Me: well, what do I do if they don't come during that time frameMale employee: they will Me: it's 2:56pmMale employee: there isn't anything I can do. They will come *hangs up phone* Delivery company came at 5pm. Conversation at the store approximately 2 weeks ago*me approaching an employee*: hi can I please have assistance with a bath tub on aisle 23?Female associate: that's plumbing. Ask someone in plumbing *walks away*I approach another employee: hi can I please have assistance with a bath tubMale associate: uh I'm not plumbing. *looks down two aisles and doesn't see another employee* you gotta ask plumbing *walks away*I had already looked for other associates with no luck therefore I called the stores customer service line. I advised them I needed assistance with a bathtub and was placed on hold for 20 minutes and then was told to call back at another time because they could not locate the employee for plumbing. I ended up having to lift the 85 point bathtub on my own.
