The Asian pharmacist is super helpful and friendly, but as written in other comments, the other pharmacist can be rude. It must be a tough job.

I currently reach out to Ralph's corporate directly regarding my bad experience today here on 5/2/2023. I will update my review after their response, or on 5/5/2023. I wanted to give corporate time to respond. So in my opinion, hesitate before you go here.

Typically don’t post reviews but one of the pharmacist was super rude on the phone to me today and said one of my prescriptions isn’t covered by my insurance even though I’ve gotten that same exact medication from there before and didn’t have to pay in full. The pharmacy sent me an automatic text 3 days ago saying that I only had to pay $10 for my medication. (I was super nice to her when I read the text and was just confused about the situation, didn’t give her any attitude). I read her the text and she literally sighed so rudely and loud enough for me to hear and muttered “oh my god” as if she was annoyed with me. She said she’s been “trying” to get my insurance to approve and it hasn’t been working. I ended up transferring my prescription to Hope Speciality Pharmacy right after and had no issues. Got my prescription filled in 5 minutes, no insurance problem, paid $10 because it was covered by insurance. Definitely recommend sending your prescriptions through Hope Speciality Pharmacy. Everyone there is super sweet.

Good for groceries but definitely not a professional pharmacy. Ralph's should just stick to what they know and do best (sell produce).I have NEVER experienced such bad service and rude people over the phone. My doctor (from Hoag Medical) sent in 3 prescriptions and only 2 got filled. Tracking down the item was a freaking nightmare. My doctor resubmitted the prescription 2 more times and their system showed "not received"! This went on for two days... It turns out that Ralphs has an antiquated system which apparently does not communicate fully when dealing with reputable medical groups such as Hoag. I wasn't please with the lady at Ralph's pharmacy for yelling at me and suggesting that the doctor himself should call her directly. This experience will have me staying away from Ralph's pharmacy.

This has to have bern worst experience picking up a prescription. I understand being backed up, but to have a horrible attitude towards customers. Ridiculous. The people coming here are sick and in pain last thing they need is to be treated like trash. what's so hard about using a computer, counting pills and putting them in a bottle. Atleast have some customer service or maybe some common, human decency

The pharmacist that work here are really great at least the two I have experienced. The pharmacy technician is the ABSOLUTE worst! She is so incredibly rude and just has a terrible demeanor about her! She needs a training in customer service and hygiene! Sorry not sorry. If she wasn't there I wouldn't mind going to this pharmacy but she makes it the worst experience.

Sorry for the long review but you're going to want to read it. I would absolutely not get your COVID vaccine here if you can help it. The first dose the wait was understandable due to several people not having their information/insurance correctly for the lady at the front taking it and people dropping off/picking up prescriptions, no problem at all. Getting the vaccine after that was fast. However, this review is for when I came back for the second dose and how that experience went. The woman doing the shots the first time (and well) was not the second woman we are going to talk about today. Arriving to the pharmacy for the second dose a lady was there to take down my information fast and got me to the next part; actually getting the shot, smoothly. She was wonderful. However I knew something was wrong the minute I sat down to wait. There were several people with clearly irritated faces staring at the pharmacist I presumed was doing the shots. She is doing pickups/dropoffs while doing vaccines which was no problem, I understand a wait for that. However, she then disappeared for over 40 MINUTES leaving us all confused. She then came out AFTER AN HOUR to then tell us sorry, that she had to prepare the vaccines. I accompanied my boyfriend to CVS last month for his first and this week his second dose. In and out in 25 minutes for both and most of that was sitting 15 minutes after to make sure there were no complications. They had everything PREPARED, pre done, for the appointments THEY KNEW would be coming in that day, and if they didn't show up, to give it to those without an appointment. This lady was not only NOT prepared, but I had not seen her do a SINGLE shot the entire time I had been there even before I had checked in 20 minutes early to my appointment. At this point I was going to be there for over an hour and a half and still no one vaccinated. One of the guys at this time that had been there longer than me had to go to the restroom and asked if it was okay to be gone for just a minute. She said yes and he left, just for her to not be able to wait less than two minutes and try to pass the vaccine onto the next person, who thankfully refused until the first person was helped, who was hilariously enough speed walking right on over. She was clearly irritated having to go back and get the paperwork for the correct guy that came back in record time. When it finally came time for my shot she was rude, didn't like how the chair was positioned no matter how I tried to help, didn't know what vaccine I had first and if the one I am getting was the one I wanted, was wrong on the arm I wanted it on and fought me on it (I write with my left arm for my job of course I want it on my right how would I get that wrong for myself in over twenty years?), touched several things with her gloved hands with the same gloves used for my vaccination during an pandemic and by the end of it I ended up waiting the last 15 minutes in the car because of how terrible it all went I didn't even want to be in the store. There was no excuse for any of this, and will no longer ever be returning here for their pharmacy for any reason. I'm not sure if this older lady whom I wish I had gotten the name of needs to retire or what, but I find Ralphs and it's affiliates to usually be very professional, this was not someone I would expect to be working here.

They were so beyond rude and someone really needs to teach them how to bag groceries. Both of my loaves of bread got smashed in with Monsters and Gatorades. Thank God there are so many other markets around here including another AMAZING Ralphs.

Hopefully Michelle was just having a bad day today. Everyone's allowed a bad day. Hoping next time will be a better experience. It's all about the customer service and helping out the customer! Not getting mad that we didn't tell you we had a coupon. Then when the coupon doesn't work for our dogs meds you just give up and someone else that works there finds us a coupon that works... now that's customer service! Love this location but this time around wasn't so great.

Imagine people at your pharmacy actually KNOWING you & your prescription needs and history like a small-town drug store. Imagine no long lines, no unnecessary hassles, smiling faces and helpfulness. That's what going to Ralph's Pharmacy is like. A special shout-out to Tatiana!!!!!!! Unfortunately, nowadays I judge necessary places/businesses by how little or how much I hate dealing with them. Sad but true. For example: I need my cell phone provider and HATE dealing with them. I need my doctor but don't hate dealing with him. I need my health insurance but only hate dealing with them a little. I need my bank and only somewhat hate dealing with them. So much of it has to do with customer service and whether or not I feel valued as a human being with them. Do they care that I am no longer young, that I have some health issues, that I can't afford being ripped off, that my time and my life means something to me and to my family? I know my cell provider couldn't care less. I know FOR CERTAIN the pharmaceutical companies prefer I be sick and also want to screw me while I'm down. But I know that the staff at Ralph's Pharmacy are knowledgeable, caring, professional and that they care. I know they do because they go over & above what they have to to make things more effective and efficient. So thank you to them for making me NOT hate getting my prescriptions. Because while my health insurance company and pharma add stress to mine and so many other people's lives, I can at least see a smiling face at my pharmacy and know they really do try to help soften the blows.
