this is a store we have donated a LOT of great stuff to. we shop there all the time too, & I was upset when the following incident occurred. I went in with my daughter, who picked out an old book from their little curio case of "antiques & collectables" that had a handwritten price inside of $7 dollars. we finished shopping & the clerk was ringing us up when suddenly a lady named LaDonna came over & ACTUALLY TOOK THE BOOK OUT OF THE CLERK'S HAND & asked us "where did you get this?" & when we pointed to the cabinet, she said "well, I have to go look this up" & TOOK OFF DOWNSTAIRS WITH OUR BOOK. when she comes upstairs, she says "well I looked this up on ebay & it's a $300.00 book, so we'll sell our copy for $100.00 to you" so we just left...how low is that? I know the clerk felt bad. He was a really nice guy, but this LaDonna was insufferably rude! she left us hanging & made us wait, then pulled that number on us...it was obvious that the people who DONATED IT TO THEIR STORE originally paid $7.00 for it, & the thrift store got it FOR FREE. what kind of a way is that to treat valued customers?? we've donated really nice stuff to them that we've seen in there for a pretty penny, but this book was marked $7.00. comon'. that was a really low blow. they've made a nice profit from our donations over the years & this is the thanks we get. dang.

It's a fun little thrift store that supports the local meals on Wheels as well everything is clearly marked easily found and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly as well which is always a plus. This has been my go-to store for thrift shopping for many many years now I hope it stays there for many more years to come it's just a great place in local downtown Lakeport California

Went in the store today and the lady behind the counter barked at us that they were closing in 10 minutes. All of a sudden the lights were being turned off and we were being literally shoved from the store. I will never go there again. RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND THE XUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKED.

Just wanted to donate some men's shoes and jacket's from my girlfriend's husband who passed away in January. There was a brand new pair of shoes, that had only been worn twice. They were a little dusty for being on the closet floor. The helper said they wouldn't take them because they were dusty. He said they didn't have enough help to clean the shoe's. I protested and said it doesn't take long to dust off a pair of shoes. I would not recommend anyone donating there.

There were trendy and affordable clothes but beware the pincher bugs. One pinched me as I tried them on at home. It should be okay if they go straight into the wash, don't make the same mistake I did. Please treat your store and clothes for bugs! Thrifting doesn't have to be a fear factor episode.

This is the most organized, most reasonably priced thrift store in Lakeport, CA. Staff is friendly and helpful and always receptive to questions. I quit going to Hospice because they price their items like they are an antique store.

Found a beautiful rare Ginger Jar. Someone else's junk is anothers treasure! Great deals and useful to those who may have lost everything in a disaster. Can really save $ looking for slightly used items. This shop is a real asset to our community. Maybe someone could set up photos and info on items in store to buy online through EBay to help keep revenue coming in during this crisis. Would love to buy items to help support Meals on Wheels.
