Why would any business post hours of operation for customers THEN CLOSE EARLY as is the case with Safeway Store in Lakeport ?With one item I wanted to purchase I hurried to Safeway. I was approaching entrance when an elderly lady wearing a mask (employee) told me store is closed as she was leaving out the exit. I quickly pulled out my cell phone to check the time. I replied. "your posted hours show 5 full minutes til closing. She responds by repeating, only louder this time, "Store is closed". As I shook my head and walked away I thought to myself, gotta love union's!! I wonder if she gets paid to leave early ?I wish my wit was a lil quicker because I would have lived to hear her response to " What time are you planning to close tomorrow night?"Disappointed in Lakeport

Pharmacy sucks so bad in the past nobody even answers I had a guy answer today following a ear surgery leaving me completely deaf in one ear he kept saying something about a policy and how I already picked up meds and something about transferring all my medications. I told him I don't even take medications anywhere I just had surgery and need to fill a prescription. I asked him to explain it to me again and told him I'm having hard time hearing I just had surgery . Can you repeat your policy and he was like yeah in lake county we have a policy. Omg! I flipped the fuck out yeah I know wtf is your POLICY explain it!? And he hung up.

I did a drive up and go order on 12/28/2022 on my mobile app. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go pick up my items as I got stuck in another town and called letting them know. I was told my order would be cancelled and that I would receive a refund at a later date. (5-7 business days I believe) my order was for $78 and about 15 small items. Later that night I got a notification saying my order was picked up, it was weird because like I said I wasn't picking it up. I immediately messaged the chat option where they assured me that I was still going to receive my refund. The next morning I did another order for the exact items early morning like 5 am. Around 6 am I received a nasty voicemail from a Liz saying I had a whole bunch of orders that I never pick up and that they don't have room for my stuff. (3 bags it ended up being) I have been shopping at Safeway for years and within the last year switched over to the pick up and go as I had back surgery and it was convenient. With that being said I spend $500-600 a month on groceries and have never not picked up my order until this time, which I did notify the store about. I really enjoyed all the employees until the particular person started. I've personally called the manager before expressing my concern on her. Anyways, I called the store manager, who apologized and walked the groceries out herself. A week goes by and I still haven't received a refund so I call the customer service who claims there was never any refund requested but would do so. Another month goes by and still nothing so once again I talk to someone and they tell me the same thing. It's been 2 months now and I still haven't received that refund. I've tried calling customer service and writing emails but no one has responded. I have saved the voicemail and reference numbers as well if needed for more proof. I would be happy to send them over. I do not feel comfortable shopping here anymore which is a bummer because it was so convenient.

Almost every time I shop here and check out with an employee, they somehow overcharge me. Whether they scan something too many times or don't scan the half off things correctly and its getting annoying. Its not rocket science so please teach your bum employees how to do their job.

prices get a beating when you use your club card which is free to everyone, I especially like the buy two get 3 offers usually on soda and meat that has gone astronomical, you still get discounts with your card and when meats on sale I buy in bulk

Hi. I'm bummed because they show here and on their website that they are open until 1am but they are closed at 12am. And their voice mail hours say open until 1. My husband drove all the way to get something and it was closed. That was 15min before midnight. I don't like that

I shop here a LOT, unfortunately I have had a couple bad experiences but none really worthy of a review. Today is the day I guess. So, unfortunately I have covid and was trying to avoid contact, I needed groceries. So I used the online order/pick up. For starters, several items that I ordered were not in stock even though they said in stock online. Then when I got home my kids started unloading bags and I realized that they gave me someone else's order. I called them and at first they were going to get my order ready so I can come all the way back and pick it up. Then I get a call from a guy pretty much interrogating me saying their employee handed me some of my order, a hot item. Well, no I didn't receive it. The only thing exchanged was the 5$ tip my daughter gave the guy that brought out our groceries. He was basically calling me a liar. It's now 4:15 and I don't know if I will be getting my groceries or not. I understand mistakes happen, however I'm super disappointed in how this man called me and told me that I received items that I didn't. I hope there are cameras there so they can see what was put into my car. Edited- I finally got to pick up my groceries, they called and apologized.

Came up to visit family and stoped here to get some food. The parking lot is infested with cats, and that usually means mice. The store itself wasn't clean. The worst part was the wait. A line halfway down the aisle at 8pm is crazy. Get more cashiers!

We were fortunate to have the Lakeport Safeway bakery (Peggy and staff) make us a cake for a special day on Jan 2nd. The two-tiered cake was over-the-top beautiful, exactly as we'd hoped. With minimal instructions, Peggy took the desired general idea and created a masterpiece. The beautiful design matched the yummy taste as well. We just want to acknowledge the bakery staff for an excellent job and it was ready exactly on-time and delivered to our vehicle. Thank you again,

If you plan to call the pharmacy to inquire about a prescription or have any questions for the pharmacy they won't answer... ever... lol. kinda silly. Pharmacy also only works through one window and lines can get so ridiculous that you're waiting until 10 minutes before 1pm. Then they inform you it's their lunch. Understandable. Everyone's gottuh eat! But it just feels understaffed as a whole (pharmacy and cashiers). It's just a bummer i have to now drive all the way back home, in redwood valley, then come back to lakeport just to see if i can get a prescription or have them send it somewhere closer to me. i wont know if or when it's ready since they don't answer. And i've had prescriptions take 8+ hours to fill... Im sure they do what they can, but the lakeport safeway needs to do better to aid the staff.

Came to Safeway last night. I was really kind of under the weather, and I just wanted to get my groceries and not deal with BS. On check stand 3 at around 9 o'clock, a male who works as a cashier was ringing up my girlfriend and I. I forgot to catch his name. But as my girl was walking up to set some cantaloupe down on the conveyer belt, the guy made a sexual joke. I was obviously not ok with it. And I understood that he's joking but regardless you should not make jokes like that towards women at all. In actuality you shouldn't make jokes like that ever on the job especially to people you don't know. Very unprofessional, outright inappropriate, and disrespectful. I was going to let it go but then he started passive aggressively being rough with our groceries. Again very disrespectful. I am a regular here at this Safeway. And every time I have this male cashier, he's always visibly upset, in a bad mood, and complaining about his problems to customers. I don't want to hear about your problems. We all have problems. I don't want to hear your jokes, they aren't funny. I just want to buy groceries peacefully at my local Safeway... is that too much to ask for?

As far as a Safeway goes, the store was fine. I was able to find things, it was clean, and people were nice. Their Starbucks, however, was a constant source of frustration. I visited the store every day for a week. Day 1: able to get a cold brew, no problem. Day 2: waited 15 mins to be helped while 1 out of 3 people behind the counter made 4 very complicated drinks for the person ahead of me as the other two people did other things. I had to leave, so no cold brew that day. Day 3: walked up and was told they were closed "for 10 mins" and they put a sign on the register. People were still waiting for drinks. No cold brew that day. Day 4: Closed. Day 5: able to get cold brew! Day 6: "closed on Mondays (!!)" So, not awesome, and their selection of cold drinks as an alternative in the store very small compared to my Safeway at home.
