DO NOT COME HERE - I absolutely do NOT RECOMMEND coming here for your pet. They required us to get bloodwork done regularly to ensure my dog was healthy (which we were okay with). Instead of doing their job and reviewing the lab results carefully, they overlooked my dog's lab markers, indicating that he is at risk of Cushing's and Diabetes. We went to a different vet who reviewed my dog's medical history and stated that our previous vet should have communicated these alarming lab results as soon as they received them back in 2022 (which Bloomfield Animal Hospital did not). Additionally, this WHOLE time, Bloomfield Animal Hospital said my dog had hypothyroidism when my current vet now is stating that he never had hypothyroidism. So basically, Dr. A has been requiring us to give my dog Levothyroxine (a thyroid medication) twice a day, every day for no reason. And they were charging us for regular refills..? What a SCAM. If you want a vet that carelessly overlooks your pet's health and you're okay with swiping your credit card repeatedly, come here! :) But if you care about your pet and want what's best for them, go to a real vet somewhere else.

When I went I loved that they took care of my cat named “cow” which the vet techs thought he was cute but they were easy and fast with the vaccines! Might bring my other cat for a check up! :D

Didn’t appreciate today’s service. When I brought my dog here the first time they told me I had to bring him again for 2 more shots & that it would be about 50 or a little less just for that. I came in today, they told me he was just getting his two shots. I took him into the room, the doctor came in and checked him, they gave my dog his shots, sent me to the front. And when it was time to pay the total came out to 89. I asked why and they told me because they checked my dog’s heart. Which I was never told he was going to receive or that I was going to be charged for that. They had the opportunity to tell me when I checked in & when I went into the room, but they didn’t until it was time to pay. If they would’ve told me from the beginning from the first time I brought him it would’ve been fine. It just felt like they’re trying to find anything to charge me for to get more money.

I feel so lucky to have finally found a veterinarian that I totally trust my dogs lives with. From the very first day, Dr. A. read my dog’s lab records from a nearby vet and treated him for a condition that was life threatening and was unnoticed by the other vet. He prescribed a medication that is working for my dog’s medical problem. He found an orthopedic surgeon to perform surgery for my dog’s lameness. With each exam he comes into the room and explains the procedure to me. The staff at his practice is exceptional! The prices are reasonable. When you make an appointment, the wait time is less than 5-10 minutes. The atmosphere comfortable and encouraging. Again, I feel so lucky that I have finally found a vet that I trust, can afford, and am completely happy with.

I just moved to the area with my doggie and I was nervous about finding a new vet for him. I felt very happy after my visit to Bloomfield Animal Hospital. The clinic is clean, they treated my baby with so much love. You can tell the people who work here love animals. They even had calming instrumental music playing in the background (iykyk). Dr. A was great and my dog was comfortable with him.

Your typical upsale veterinary practice....they charged me the $59 consult fee a week prior to ensure no cancellation...that should have been the first red flag. I specifically asked for a simple blood panel because my doggo had diarrhea and weight loss...the "vet" said my dog was in discomfort in his abdomen.thats why it welped when touched...I think the "vet" pinched my dog and made him welp in order to run a GI panel (if my dog had pancreatitis he would be in a lot worse condition)...which costs $435...I have been doing animal rescue over 20 years...seen most conditions in dogs and cats...seen all kinds of symptoms and medications and done all kinds of tests....this "vet" even after I divulged my knowledge of keeping my pet as healthy as possible with flea meds, probiotics etc...he had the audacity to say "your dog has fleas"...when clearly I give him the bravecto pill...and the flea meds they had were the topical kind...which are less effective than the pill....They thought they were dealing with someone that has never given preventive meds or tx to animals.....I have rescued thousands....they tried to charge me $1k for unesseary things like forti flora which I can easily get, cytopoint...which doesn't treat the allergy (which my dog currently doesn't have) it only treats the itch itself not the underlying cause....tried to get my dog on apoquel ..which I clearly told him..he wasn't on anymore because his allergies were treated...my dog is on supplements, sensitive stomach food and on VetCBD....oh and did I mention flea meds? the "vet" again was pushy and I stood up to him...especially when he asked about the diarrhea he was getting pushy and wouldn't let me reply properly so I told him "let me answer?" then he backed down...I was throwing veterinary jargon out on him and still tried to disregard what I Knew......anyhow...typical veterinary practice charging an arm and a leg to unsuspecting pet parents because there is really nowhere to go since they ALL have your pets life in their hands.....there needs to be reform in the veterinary field.....instead of trying to live a lavish lifestyle or payoff your student loan....you should charge fair pricing and clients will keep coming back....Quality will bring quantity and you will make money in the end..... and when I told them "thanks for taking $59 from a rescue for nothing" the vet tech was like "ok"......

They are there when we really need them. This little girl that we thought was feral, let them reach right into the trap and pull her out. She was sick with a respiratory infection that could have caused her to lose her eye or worse, but it looks like we caught her in time!

They took good care of my 15 year old cat. The doctor was very knowledgeable and honest with things she needed. The only thing I don’t care for is having to drop her off and pick her up hours later. Most of my day was spent waiting to pick up my pet.

I was been a loyal customer of Bloomfield Animal Hospital for a year and I must say I was disappointed. When I was moving I called the office if I could get some paper documentation for my cat so I could cross state lines. Since states require you to have proper documentation. Generally they don't care to check, but since there was a rise in covid cases I was concerned that there would be more restrictions. I called Bloomfield Animal Hospital to schedule an appointment. The front desk informed me that she wasn't sure if they provided the service, I asked if I could make an appointment and they could get back to me if they could not. I waited, they didn't call me so I came for my appointment. When I got there only then did they inform me that "oh they don't check pet papers if you're crossing states." I can only assume they just didn't provide the service and never told me. They just waisted my time, they had half a month to call me to tell me but they didn't. So then I could not find a different place to get the proper documentation because my move out date was so close to my appointment date. I ended up not needing the paperwork when I moved so it worked out in the end. But still, they could have informed me earlier so I could prepare with a different vet.
