One of the cashiers who helped me out (I will refrain from saying their name) ripped off their book off price tag and caused this major cosmetic damage making this item lose its value. Was excited on owning this item for my collection but didn't even get to walk out the door with the same item I saw on the shelf. Super disappointed. Money down the drain in an instant

They've got a large selection of comics, books, and imported merch. Great staff and easily navigable. But different than the Cypress location but still great. Good prices for what I picked up.

Decent books but older much older books $1 for bleh selection $7-8 for the better newer books or ones that used to be popular but I feel they aren't worth this much anymore.

Waited 50 minutes to try and sell some books. 1 order in front of me that took 53 of those minutes. My order was literally 3 minutes. And I got $2.50 for 10 new looking books. Ridiculous waste of time.

Verrrryyyyyy cool place. Be prepared to spend hours if you're looking for something specific, just treat it like a scavenger hunt with all sorts of interesting things along the way.

Decent book selection. Prices are a bit higher compared to other book stores. Lots of anime choices, which I did like.

Love Bookoff!!! I specifically go there for DVD's. 95% of the time they have what I'm looking for. I've purchased numerous items from there. Tv, DVD player, DVD and a camera. I'm looking for a Super Nintendo. Hope I come across one.

I loved the huge variety of books, games and figures in this store. I was looking forward to seeing this in the US after going to the main chain in Japan. The store was very dark. The tall shelves and ceiling lights made it hard to feel comfortable. We were the only ones in the store, so browsing felt almost surreal. A good one-time visit for novelty, but I don't think I'll be going back during my next trip to LA.

It's my favorite one and I go out of my way to go to this Bookoff. The cashier today was really nice. Very polite and appreciated our purchase.

Admittedly their selection of CDs and books is extensive, however whoever priced their inventory must have been out of their minds. Seriously? CDs for $30? Not even like a deluxe edition or anything, just a digipack CD for $29.99? That's straight up laughable. They seriously wanted $70 for the Century Media release of Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Satanas", which can be purchased on discogs for under 10 bucks. And it's not even like it's super popular bands. I'm talking about bands like Electric Wizard, Mayhem, and EHG. Sure, these bands are super popular in their respective scenes but to the general public? Your average person on the street has probably not heard of them. Not to mention you can get all of these CDs off discogs or even the band's website for half of what Book-off sells them for. The same can be said for the video games (seriously, PlayStation 1, 2, and 3 games for close to original retail price) DVDs, (again close to retail price for a format that most people give away or sell at garage sales for a dollar a pop. I have purchased many a DVD and Blu-ray at Goodwill and other thrift stores for a few bucks, when book-off tries to sell the same thing for north of $20) comic books, and action figures. Naturally there will be some comics and figures that are deserving of a higher price, but not most of their inventory. It's a shame, because the store has a great selection of everything from comics and cards to action figures and video games to CDs and DVDs. I just wish the vast majority of it wasn't priced so astronomically high. Also, and this might be the worst thing about this place, is if you take them CDs to sell they'll offer you 10 cents for a CD. And then Mark it up to $25, $35, sometimes even higher. THAT IS UPWARDS OF A 3000% INCREASE.This place is a joke, support independent retailers who actually charge their prices.

I like checking it out, they have electronics, books, manga, cds, comics, figurines, cards. Great spot if you're a fanatic. Can also sell books there, they don't give much but it's something.
