“I've been coming here since I was a little girl. I loved this shop back then and still feel the same way about it at 42 years old. I've had the opportunity of bringing my children here many times over the years and they love this shop just as much as I do. “01/20/24 My friend and I wanted to walk after a meal, so we walked 4th street. She is much older than me and has lived in this part of Long Beach for many years. I've walked by this store many times, my son used to live across the street for years, so why have I never stepped foot in here? I guess it's because of my upbringing. Palm readings and devil stuff are a no-no and it always used to scare me. I totally perceived this store wrong. They have themes in sections which I am obsessed with. Their organization is 10/10. All the sections have a little of everything. Stickers, pens, socks, bags, journals, ceramic figurines or vases. One theme is plants and on the front of a journal read 'Diary of a plant killer'. I found that hilarious because I am that person. There's a section of women empowerment items with a 5 pen set where some read 'mom, mama, mommy, mooooom' and 'welcome to the shit show'. I bypassed the Prince (purple rain) and other celebrity prayer candles and all things devil. Just not my jam. I did however love everything else. Overall 10/10. Great place for funny and clever themed gift items. I now know where to go for them.”
“OMG! We almost bought one of everything! There are so many different things in this shop. From the dream catcher designs and turquoise jewelry to the art work, trinkets, clothing, and so much more. A picture is worth a thousand words so I’ll share some pix. I highly recommend this store. We didn’t want to leave it, but we found a ton of stuff we left with. Definitely want to visit here again.”

“Absolutely incredible business! I ordered a Jelly Cat plush from their website and overall I have to just say their attention to detail is insane! My item came packaged very beautifully with a lovely handwritten note and even a freebie! I was even called and notified of when my order would be shipped and they asked whether or not I wanted it to be gift wrapped which was for sure a nice touch because a lot of businesses don’t put that much love into what they do but this company definitely does! 11/10 I recommend this company!”

“This is the best place to go and get souvenirs. I moved away from Seal Beach but I lived next to the dolphin market and this store is amazing that is where I have gone and all of the pictures that I got there are in my living room, I live in Southern California but I made a beach theme because Seal Beach is my favorite place to de-stress and relax. Everybody in this store is simply amazing so friendly and helpful I would give them 10 Stars if I could. They have so many amazing things you have to go into the store if you're down there”

“This is your "Go To" little boutique shopping area for holiday decor as well as many other fun treasures.....nice for little gifts for friends. This store is a combo of several artists that make wonderful custom pillows for each holiday, wooden signs for your home or yard and many other treasures! They are on Los Alamitos blvd. near Los Alamitos High School. They are adjacent to the Shenandoah Restaurant which is a great place for lunch, with a beautiful patio....and the little shops as well.”

“My new favorite store! I could easily spend my whole paycheck in an hr here. Yesterday I purchased a candle with real amethyst crystals in it for added relaxation, let them eat cake hand cream which makes you want to eat your own fingers, a beautiful sun hat, etc. I will be back next week. This store has diverse, one of a kind pieces. I also purchased a bowl made by a local artist from sea glass ? The staff is lovely, the pieces can't be found elsewhere, and I promise there is something for everyone!”

“I love shades of Africa, from the atmosphere to Ms. Renee being so welcoming. The products are amazing. Most stores if not all when you go in to purchase items such as hair products or skin products they can only be used for those specific things. With the many handmade products at Shades of Africa there may be a description such as hair oil or body wash but they can be used all over and I love that. You get quality products! I pick up products in stores and wonder why all of those harmful ingredients are needed to make things as simple as lotion or body wash, it’s not necessary. I can shop here and not have to worry about about any cancer causing chemicals or harsh dyes. You’re also helping out many small black owned businesses even some from other countries such as Kenya. I get majority of my skin, body, and hair care products and will continue to do so. I love being able to support small black owned businesses and I’m grateful to have found a store that sells amazing natural products.”
“I would leave a review on every platform I possibly can/could for this company. There are no words for how good my experience was with them. We were looking for a very specific product, in a very tight time frame and turn around. Because it was a rush order I probably annoyed the HECK out of them with emails and phone calls just trying to make sure we could get them on time. They were patient, they were kind, they were super responsive. Once we got into the production phase of everything they were so quick, they followed up at the perfect times, they also double and triple checked our work! I can't even say what a rare thing that is. We double check our clients work to look for errors, duplicates etc. but to have someone else also check was just so incredible. Everything came with more than enough time, it was beautiful, the couple was SO SO HAPPY. I am putting Happily Ever Etched on my rock-star vendor list. I hope to get to work with them again in the future - this time with less of a rush time frames :) Seriously from start to finish one of the most professional and easy experiences I have had.”

“Great store! I didn't even know this was a thing. I've never taken the time to walk through the stores outside of Knotts Berry Farm. This shop really surprised me! They sell all kinds of stuff! Mostly holiday items and decor. Oh boy! If you love Christmas, then you will fall in love with this store. They had Grinch items and trains. Decorations for the house. Lots of cute, festive things! I imagine they rotate what they have once they sell all the Christmas stuff? Everything was on sale.”
