PATIENCE is a virtue they say? Well, Crystal has it. I saw her handle a gentleman that knew I was behind him but Crystal kept answering every question professionally & most important politely. Joseph Rodger's the Pharmacist & Manager is also just as polite and listens when you speak with any medical questions. Joseph & Crystal you truly made me feel like I did the right decision after being at Ralph's Pharmacy in PV for 12 years. You would get 6 stars if I could. If you haven't heard it lately then let me tell you... YOUR HARD WORK DOES NOT GO UNNOTICED BY ME! I couldn't be happier to come to the Von's side and not the Kroger side anymore. Also, this should probably go on Von's main Yelp but I had several items that had a coupon and I didn't realize self check out isn't the spot to do that... Noted but DYLAN J. was so professional & took his time because I was the slow one finding the bar code. Overall, this Von's is amazing! We bought a home down the street so I feel I have my neighborhood store! Thanks Von's, there was amazing service by the 3 people I came into contact tonight. I come for the prices (love the app) & the fantastic service. It definitely was provided tonight.

They professionally handled my yellow fever booster vaccine and typhoid vaccine. The vaccines needed to be ordered so it took almost a week to get. Joe kept me updated on the delay and the scheduling of the vaccines. The pharmacist researched the yellow fever vaccine and found that I needed only the booster.

Went to the pharmacy super late 7:55 pm (I know that's late) but I simply wanted to drop off a prescription and come back the next day. They already had their gates closed but were sitting inside even though it says they closed at 8pm? We asked why they were closed and they gave no good reason at all? Then I'm pretty sure they knew that was wrong to do so one came out to check out the prescription then told me they don't take GoodRX coupons. Even though our coupon gave their address and information to be used at that location. Don't bother coming to this pharmacy guys there's much better ones in the area!

I just want to thank the manager Will for tracking me down after I had dropped my wallet. Will was kind enough to reach out to someone who's business card was left in my wallet to get ahold of me so that I can come pick it up. That person then found me on Instagram and message me to let me know. I had all my credit cards, bank cards, $500 cash and when I picked it up everything was still there. I'm so happy to know my local store cares that much about its customers. Thank you Will , you are an amazing human and thank you for being so kind and honest. I truly appreciate you and will be forever grateful. -Bre

The employee Travis could be friendlier he doesn't greet customers seems like he hates his job.

We have been shopping at this Vons for many years. Most of the employees are very nice and helpful. There is one employee though who stands out from the rest. Not because she is helpful and kind, but because she is rude. Amy has always been rude in my experiences with her. I started not going to her line...problem solved. Until the pandemic came along and now we have no choice whose line we end up in. She will bag your groceries and leave them on the counter for you to put in your cart. I believe that's your job Amy. She never has a smile on her face and looks like she would rather be someplace else. I believe its time to switch stores. Ralphs on Los Coyotes is a little farther to go, but will be well worth it.

I find that there is a stench and a smell through meat department and I do t know where it's coming from. Not normal. Store cleanliness is not to standard or codes. Meat cases are ok yet still visible blood from months of not doing a thorough job. I do t understand why and how we got here! Leaders did you disappear?

Amy is extremely Rude not friendly, didn't say not one thing nice and after I asked for her manager to complain and report her (Regina Super Friendly and very professional) I am not the only customer to complain about Amy. Regina as reported Amy's rudeness to her MANAGER several times and management won't do anything about it. Amy never said 1 friendly word to me and when I tried to correct her on a price ( not matching what the sign said) she said "too bad"....Rude. I noticed that she didn't talk to the customer before me like that is it because I am of a different race??? Ia Amy doesn't like her job...Quit or better yet how many complaints does management have to have about her....I left my phone number with Regina ( super sweet) to give to her manager so her can call me. Regina apologized for Amy but that does not solve the problem. Let's see if they call. Amy has a serious problem and I will not be back as long as Amy is still there. I am a customer and should be treated with respect I was never rude to her and once I noticed her tone and unfriendly I immediately asked for her MANAGER Please do something about Amy...money and CUSTOMERS have no color lines

I went to this Vons this morning to get a cup of coffee from Starbucks. I'm standing in line practicing social distancing. Behind me I believe is the manager. I step to the side and she says in a rude tone "your coffee pick up is over on the other side". I was a little frustrated but walked over there. The clerk says to her "Good morning welcome to Starbucks" the manager replies " Yeah I was here waiting for that greeting". I'm thinking in my head wow how nasty does this lady sound. She then walks up and starts coaching them saying " don't forget to ask every customer all these list of questions". So I say " I don't want to hear this type of coaching in front of me" the manager says excuse me this is our new policy and everyone has to abide by it. I told her she was very rude in her tone and how she was talking to me. She then directs me to a sign in the front of the store that I didn't notice since there are signs everywhere. She proceeds to walk in close proximity of me and I asked her to keep her distance and she said you can leave my store and don't come back here. I'm very aware of the situation at hand and I'm also considered an essential worker and have been out in the public everyday. This is still not an excuse for a manager to be disrespected and talked to customers the way she did. This is 2 days in a row I've had issues with Vons. I will take my business elsewhere.

"i was racially discriminated against on 3/21/2020 at 6:53am by the Vons store manager at 4226 Woodruff Blvd. Lakewood, CA. her name is Anna Nix. I was in a designated line for elderly (I AM) or disabled ( I am also disabled) people that was suppose to let people in at 7 am, and I was first in that line, the manager came out a few minutes earlier, and targeted me. She told me I would not be allowed into the store. She said I would have to come back at 9am. I am both Elderly and Disabled (Diabetes type 2 and Heart Disease) I was the only African American in the line, which at this time, was about 40 people, I was first. I arrived and lined up first. I told her I was elderly and I was eligible to be in this 7am line. She then said, I need to go and get in the back of the line. I was then very upset she would suggest I cut in line. At this moment, I was the only black male in this line. It was solely due to my skin color, that this manager decided to accuse me of cutting in front on the line. The lady who was 2nd and the lady who was 3rd both adamantly told both the Manager and the other staff member she was with, that I was the first person to line up and head the line. I was very upset that this manager decided to turn back the clock and use old fashion racism to run me away. I told her I was not pleased that she used only the fact I was a black male, to try to start a confrontation with me. I was standing in line, being orderly, not bothering anybody. I just left my job early, to get some soup for my sick wife. The manager, upset that I mentioned that what she did was a racist act, decided to call the Lakewood sheriff department to try to intimidate me more. The sheriffs came and I had my social distanced compromised badly. I now had 7 officers surrounding me, face to face. They wanted to know the problem. The officers appeared very upset that the Store Manager would target me without any cause. The manager wanted them to make me leave, for being upset that I was racially profiled by her. The officers refused to make me leave. The Store was opened, the other staff member, an Latino gentlemen, he was very apologetic and promised me that I could report this woman and corporate would follow up. I was so upset, because, You can not determine someone's age or health situation by site. She singled me out by site. The only then I had was my sick was black. I felt it was a racist moment. I was allowed into the store, the sheriff deputies left. While Shopping, the store Manager followed me around to harass me, I felt. I went to pay for my groceries, with cash, and right after I paid for my groceries, I was having a conversation with the checker, Joan I believe, and the store manager rudely came over and told me I better leave the store or she will call the deputies on me. The cashier was stunned and shocked, she looked like she was about to cry, I simply wished her a good day. It was nobody in the line, so it wasn't me holding up the line, I was the only one in at the checker (5) The store manager was angry and agitated that I alerted the deputies that I was racially discriminated while trying to shop by the Manager. I called the store, and a African America worker answered. I told him exactly what happened. He apologized and he said "this is not the first time she has been accused of racial bias here. I thanked him, This is all on cameras. Please get the camera footage and it will show Anna Nix singling me out, pointing her finger at me then directing the finger to out of the parking area. I want someone to contact me as soon as possible." Author: Mr. James Oliver I read this story and my heart hurt to think Vons would have someone like this in leadership! I hope this situation is resolved soon.
