The prices are ok on most things however there is a white woman at self checkout who likes to come looking through your items like she's doing something but it seems as if that's only if you happen to be brown or black what a shock. One stupid employee can mess up where I spend my money at period.

Over the years, this WinCo has gotten more and more ridiculous with the rules/policy changes, closures of some isles for half of the day (yes, they completely gate off isles AND the customer service area for more than half of the time they're supposed to be open for 24 hours) and selective bias when it comes to WIC and EBT customers. Today I was denied the right to buy tea using an EBT card. About 2-3 years ago, this WinCo made all vitamins and supplements in their store ineligible for EBT and now they've added hot tea to the list. Which is strange, because I can still buy sugary a** cold teas that has been bottled by a soda company or powdered tea flavored drinks that are also full of sugar (like Lipton) with no problem. But if I buy a healthy tea option, like immunity boosting tea or echinacea, that isn't covered. So funny how things that are healthy for the body like vitamins and supplements are ineligible, but every greasy, fat, sugary thing is covered, no problem. That may be a bigger issue with DPSS and the state of California, so I won't place all of that on WinCo. But what IS on WinCo is the lack of signage for all of these damn closures, and adjustments to what is considered EBT and what is not. When I asked the cashier when this happened, she said "I don't know, some are approved and some are not..." but she couldn't give me a definitive list of which teas I could purchase and which I couldn't. When I asked her if there was a list anywhere posted about this change or if there was someone I could speak to she said "I don't know anything about all that..." Duh! Obviously, you don't, that's why I was asking for management or a list or something! As I was talking to her, another woman walked up, confused as hell because Customer Service wasn't open, but it was after 8:30 AM, so then we both proceeded to ask, well... when does it open? And why is none of this posted?! She answered and said 9AM, but never responded to the second half of the question. It would take 30 seconds to print out the hours for their customer service area or the actual hours of availability for isles that they gate close so that people wouldn't be standing out there confused as to why they're locked up but the rest of the store is open.Just like they post signage for what's on sale or when they'll be closed or what's on discount, etc. they could post a simple list of what is not EBT eligible in their store right in the entryway next to the shopping carts, if they wanted to. AND NOTIFY CUSTOMERS WHEN THE LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED so they don't put things in their cart that they can't purchase and waste everyone's time. This is entitlement and disorganization. They don't care to be informative but they expect people to come there for groceries. Don't even get me started on the produce area that has been struggling for YEARS. You're more likely to find something that's rotten than fresh. Lately they've been trying to turn that part around and SOME things have improved in quality but they're definitely skating on thin ice. I'm heading to Trader Joe's where I can buy a box of teabags in peace without being judged or ridiculed as a customer, because I am using EBT. If you live near the store and HAVE to go there, you'll be aiiight... but if you can get to anywhere else, particularly for your fruits and vegetables, I would hit their quick fast in a hurry. And if you're an EBT or WIC user who wants to buy healthy items, you don't deserve to be embarrassed that way just for trying to buy groceries... get a healthy stuff elsewhere.*** UPDATE: just went to Trader Joe's, and bought THE SAME Yogi Teas that Winco just told me were in eligible for EBT. So I take back my original statement of not putting it all on them... it is 100% them! Just because you're going through hard times and/or using EBT does not mean you have to be embarrassed at the grocery store. Go somewhere (or divide

I can't believe it took me this long to know about Winco Foods. To be fair, there are so few Winco I'm California that I only knew about it when I was driving by and happened to notice it.This place is huge and has EVERYTHING you need and more from a grocery store. I was blown away by everything here. Winco carries multiple brands for a single item. For example, there were six different brands of syrups for hotcakes. Winco also have some products under their own branding, but for the most part, you'll find most big box store brands here. I was super impressed to discover new brand products I've never seen before. I've been searching for Pappy's Choice seasoning and couldn't find it anywhere, but Winco for the win because they had it all! This place is not only huge, but very clean and organized! I was very impressed with their bulk section. I have never seen pasta sold by the bulk! It was very inexpensive too! I was even more impressed with their self-serve, freshly ground nut butter! I've only seen freshly ground peanut butter at Whole Foods, and you have to order it at the counter and pay a lot of money for it. Not here, the prices are so cheap as they go by the price of the type of nuts per pound! You can literally get a pound of freshly ground peanut butter for under $2! Seriously, there is SO much that this Winco has to offer, and I wish this was closer to me. Also, they are open 24/7!One thing to note is that they do not accept credit cards. They only accept cash, check, EBT, or debit.

I have been to Winko Foods in Lakewood at least three times and have been extremely impressed with their selection and convenience. It's a one-stop shop for all of my grocery needs, and no matter what time of day I go, I can always find what I'm looking for.The store is well-stocked with fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and baked goods. I especially appreciate the large selection of international and specialty items, which allows me to experiment with new ingredients and flavors. The prices are also very reasonable and competitive with other nearby grocery stores.I am extremely pleased with my experiences here and would highly recommend it to anyone in the Lakewood area looking for a dependable and convenient grocery store.

If you're in Lakewood, this upscale grocery store is worth a look. This impressive store serves as a one-stop shop for all of your grocery needs, offering high-quality products at very reasonable prices. The produce section is always brimming with a wide variety of fresh and colorful fruits and vegetables at very reasonable prices.Aside from fresh produce, it also has a wide selection of high-quality meats, poultry, and seafood. The meats are fresh and flavorful, and the menu includes prime cuts of beef and pork, as well as succulent seafood options like shrimp and lobster. The store also has a good selection of pantry staples, such as grains, beans, oils, and spices.Highly recommended for your weekly grocery shopping or picking up a few necessities.

Saturday, 06/18/2022 12:30 PM We got in line for fried chicken. Four people in front of us, we figured a little wait. One lady wearing cat ear over her head in front of us with this older man ordered 3 separate time with all three big boxes of food in the same shopping cart with 3 big bags of dinner rolls and buckets of sides plus one giant box of fries. During the 3 separate orders, they let this lady wearing a red shirt they don't even know cut in line just because she started being friendly to them. Everyone saw that, but everyone thought they were together because they way they acted towards each other. But the lady who cut in line went separate ways right after she got what she wanted. Right after that, the cat ear lady started order chicken again. Unbelievable. We just cannot believe this supermarket le them do that. Now, the lady with the cat ear and the older gentleman finally leaves with whole cart of food, we just noticed the sign that says limit of 24 pieces of chicken for any body, family or group. What a joke. When I was laughing about that, I notice the line gotten so long behind us like more than 10 people. The line extended all the way back to the other side of store. It was a sight to be seen. Finally, 30 minutes later, now 1:00 PM, our turn. This older lady behind the counter said to us: "No more chicken". We said: "We waited 30 minutes already, so... how long it's going to take to make new ones?" She said: "After 1:30 PM". We told her: "Aright, can we pay for our order and come back to pick up?" She simply said: "NO." We said: "Why not? We don't want to wait in line again to order after we waited 30 minutes already." She said: "Because we don't do that , because I am not going to guarantee you chicken. We have someone phone-ordered 100 pieces of fried chicken already." (what happens to 24pcs?) We said: "We waited in line for more than 30 minutes, and you let people cut in line, and order so much chicken. Now you tell us to wait in line again without guarantee?" She said: "IT'S YOUR CHOICE TO WAIT IN LINE!" WOW..... She must feels proud of herself, like she is above us. We are just another "customer", who cares? It's not like one unhappy customer is going to close the business down. By the way, there was a young blonde lady working nearby just watching and listening to the whole show without any expression like it had nothing to do with her. People are so cold and rude here, no empathy whatsoever. My 9-months-pregnant wife was so angry that we were treated like that and her hormone was all over the place, she started crying literally. We had our 2 years old with us and she was getting fuzzy from starving. I felt really bad because it was I who made the "choice" to go to WinCo to buy groceries and some quick lunch. What a bad decision. My 9-months-pregnant wife was so upset, and I tried to stay calm so I can calm her down. I want to just leave and go somewhere fast so my daughter and my wife can get something to eat. But my wife decided to go to customer service and Samantha helped us and got us some fried chicken after she went back and forth with the deli for 20 minutes. 1:30 PM, more than an hour later, we finally left with some groceries and our "not-so-quick" lunch. Sigh.. we should've gone somewhere else.

By far, the best prices in town. I can always find what I'm looking for here. Keep an eye out for their own brand. It can save you money but you may pay for it in flavor. Still, the national brands are cheaper than any other grocery store in town. As a matter of convenience, lines are rarely long. Shopping is an in and out experience. It never feels like you are waiting in a bread line during the Great Depression.

Super disappointing, a 24 hour store the only one in Vacaville. Only has one checker past midnight I find this extremely unprofessional and concerning. Winco earns far too much money to only have one checker after midnight. It took me Forever to get through for just a couple of items and there was over 13 people in line and one checker,

Yay or nay? 2/2 One of my favorite places to shop. Huge variety of items at great prices. Expensive? 1/1 Not at all. I've found this place to be one of the best for shopping if you want a good balance between quality and cost. Location 1/1 Tons of free parking. Staff here is very friendly. One of them was even giving cooking tips. Plan to return? 1/1 Oh yeah. I wish I lived closer I would shop here exclusively.
