The AV Fair & Event Center is a well-managed, safe, multipurpose, year-round facility. It includes an RV park that is clean, well cared for, and close to shopping, offering full hookups that are well-lit and safe. The fair itself is growing every year, providing a good time for date night or family fun with great concerts. There are plenty of foods, snacks, and drinks to choose from, including alcohol, and live music bands playing. The facility has plenty of parking, with a shuttle available, and bathrooms are everywhere. Security is present and described as decent. During special events like the 4th of July, there are an array of delicious smelling food trucks, free jumpers and inflatable giant slides, and plenty of free space. A spectacular fireworks show is offered. However, some visitors note extremely high prices for food and drinks, citing astronomical costs. Some feel the event has fewer vendors and smaller competitions for photographs, table setups, and animals compared to previous years, noting a drift from celebrating art, craftsmanship, and community spirit. Despite the presence of law enforcement and security, some fights have broken out. Overall, it remains a place creating opportunities and lifelong memories for many.
