Apollo Community Regional Park is a nice and beautiful park, a real gem and family friendly. It features a small lake, around which is a paved path for walking, probably about a mile around. The water is a bit murky but good for fishing. There are multiple play areas and a kids playground, with plenty of shaded park areas great for BBQ or just relaxing. The park is now very clean, including the bathrooms. It is a great place for bird watching, with lots of different birds, though the geese are forward. Visitors can also see private planes taking off and landing nearby.
