“My Final Words About a Great Sacred Heart Deacon and Gentleman. It was a very sad day to attend Ron's Vigil and most of all his Solomon Funeral at Scared Heart Church the very next day - no dry eye. It has about about a month since his funeral, and I took it upon myself to write my thoughts about Deacon Ronald Routolo. Despite the fact that he has been a Deacon for 20 years, I took the opportunity to humanize Ron. My heartfelt condolences to Brenda and her family and extended Family. My ramblings and memories by Fritz Miller. I have a few comments. First of all, I would like to add a little Luster to the King of Software who was an employee at Lockheed Corporate as a software expert. .My first knowledge of Ron, and Brenda, in the early 1980's, I recognized that he had the potential of being a great leader, and eventually would study in the Diaconate Program for the Archdiocese of pills of Los Angeles. He certainly did not disappoint me or Sacred Heart Parish. I will not reevaluate and comment on the many loving accolades that has already been bestowed as Deacon Ronald Routolo as an outstanding Parish Deacon. I will try to humanize him by referring to him as Ron. There are two aspects of Ron's life that I would like to extol his talents, skills, and software expertise in corporate life. Ron and I worked very close together planning all of the fundraising activities associated with the annual barbecue. Ron was a GO TO GUY and for some reason I was the money "go to guy" for all of the other fundraising activities in the parish assigned. I was on the Finance Committee for multiple terms. We worked hand-in-hand in revitalization the annual barbecue.First of all, both Ron and I are Computer Scientists from a completely different generation. I was involved in the establishment and establishment of very large scale IBM, and Huge set of Cyber Network Computers for the development of a an updated "state of the art" computer complex capability at Edwards Air Force Base, at one time was second to none, used exclusively for FLIGHT TESTING. Ron was involved in the corporate world developing expert computer software for all the Lockheed's classified stealth Aircraft that have been developed over the last 20 years. There is quite a contrast, but many of the principles are the same. As an example, If we had a computer crash in a huge computer room at AFFTC, almost the size of large dinning room., no problem except we would have red faces, however, if Ron had a computer crash on board one of the electronic boxes that Ron had developed esoteric on board software, specially uniquely designed software engaged in all kinds of Weapons and Control Systems, Guidance Control, and control of many other Avionic Systems on board the aircraft, not mentioning all of the fly - by - wire Systems , Ron's job was more challenging job preparing Software for Fighter Stealth Aircraft. An onboard computer software glitch (a possible crash without back ups) could be strategically a living nightmare - to say the least. Now the other part of the story has to do with the Annual Sacred Heart BBQ's. Ron and I worked very close and Ron was always known to get the job done, and I was known as the money man to help him with the planning and execution of the BBQ Booths and many other Sacred Heart fundraising events. Ron was very instrumental in necessitating the barbecue fund money raising potential. Over a number of years, we planned shoulder to together attending his BBQ meetings in the early planning process. After he took over, he would be asked questions by the planning committee and then he would ask me. Do you know the answer? I would say no, since I am only the money guy, however, I do know a bunch of people that could answer their questions due to their previous involvement. So Ron took my advice and talked to as many people that had knowledge of their involvement about past BBQ's. I have a story or two to tell about Ron. I have been calling him Ron even though he is Deacon Ronald Routolo, but I seen him ope”
