“I went in and purchased a prime ribeye,I asked Sam how should I prepare the ribeye ,he asked if I was going to bbq it or pan fry it,i live in an apartment,so he suggested I pan fry it in a cast iron skillet,Sam suggested that I use simple ingredients like salt pepper and fresh garlic,he actually gave me step by step instructions on how to cook my ribeye.Sear it on both sides and make sure it has a nice golden crust and 8 minutes on each side, and let it rest for 5 minutes after I cook it,I followed his instructions and let me tell you it was the best ribeye I have ever had!!!!”

“This market is one of the best deli/grocery /produce markets that I have ever come across! I live in the area and I will go only to this market because of the deli sandwiches hands down #1 and they offer whatever you would like on it and they make it very special and specific. The quality is priceless and the flavors are amazing. I have been coming here for more than 15 years and I'm always blown away of the service/quality and the items they offer in their store. Their location is perfect because they are always on the way to where you need to go, whether to the airport or just around town, it's so convenient. I recently have been there at least 4 times during the week to bring food to the nearby hospital CPMC for my family members visiting from France and locally and their experience was off the charts. Rutily's market is the place to go for everything you need.”

“The first thing I noticed when I walked in is how this place smelled exactly the same as the butcher shop my grandfather would take me to as a kid in the country outside of Buenos Aires. That smell that only comes from a butcher shop that’s making the sausages fresh, cutting the beef fresh, etc. That’s how I knew this place was legit without even trying anything. I’ve since tried a few of the sausages they have and they’re amazing. Again, the taste reminds me of the taste of the sausages my grandpa would buy from this old butcher in the country. It’s a taste you only get from butchers with a true sense of craftsmanship. Reminds me of a simpler time. I highly recommend the sausages, the meatloaf, and stuffed chicken. The charm doesn’t stop there, though, Ron and his son Michael also give stellar customer service. Always a pleasure stopping by and supporting this local business.”

“I came to San Francisco on holiday from the UK as part of a road trip few days, and seeing as this was one of the few convenience stores near my hotel, I went to check it out. Was not disappointed.Really friendly staff, the lady Morning was such a sweetheart, always loved seeing and chatting with her. A great selection of food and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and great tasting sandwiches.5 stars from me, I absolutely have to visit again the next time i'm in San Francisco ✌️”

“5/5! Literal the most I could ask for of a store It's like a Whole Foods but without all the crap! Love love love I'm so happy I stumbled into this store on my visit in Marin. My favorite part of the store was the loose leaf tea wall and the juice and smoothie section. I would come here every day if I didn't live an hour and a half away.”

“This is single handedly the greatest corner store that has ever existed in San Francisco. They make you truly feel like you are family there, and the sandwiches are top tier. Mo makes everyone that walks into that store feel like family, and I associate only joyous feelings when I enter this place.”

“Santa Venetia Market is a decent place to shop for food in Marin. Their prices are on par with what you expect to pay locally. I have yet to go out of my way to shop here and likely never will, but I've stopped while visiting friends in the neighborhood and enjoyed the sandwiches and salads I've gotten here. Customer service in the deli is on point, and the store employees are pleasant and friendly.”

“My favorite market in the area. Convenient location, great hours, clean store and has everything you need from house supplies to fresh flowers to your favorite snacks. The owners are incredibly kind and it always brightens my day to see them. Highly recommend!”

“Cute little market. It has everything you need and want and the candy section is phenomenal!! Haha. I hadn't had candy during my stay in Pt. Reyes (two weeks) until I decided to stop here. The owner was very kind and even chatted with me about his mutual love for candy. HeheThere's a market in Pt. Reyes station, but that can be far if you're already going up to the Northernmost part of the peninsula (or coming back). It's also very busy there.”

“I love this bodega because not only is it thoughtfully stocked, curated, & decorated (their paintings outside & plants are thoughtful + beautiful) — but the family who owns & runs it is lovely too. I highly recommend shopping here.”

“I love this place! I'm a little biased since I live on the same street but it's my go to market whenever I need some thing; they literally have everything you can imagine. Also their fresh sandwiches are to die for. They also sell premade hot foods and sushi. The staff are incredibly kind and the vibe in here is just so homey. It feels really good to support a family business that's been running for so long and it's a staple to nob hill!”

“I've recently started working in San Rafael and coworkers would bring lunch or office treats from this market. Everything has been high-quality, unique, flavorful and made me want to take a special trip to Nugget. I got my chance one no-traffic-on-the-commute morning with an extra 20 minutes to spare. I walked in and immediately knew that was not nearly enough time. Visually stunning, organized , clean and enticing! I barely knew where I wanted to start. I scanned the ample deli, hot breakfast bar, tempting bakery, found a couple items, picked up some stunning recipe cards, and made mental notes for when I return. (For those in my area, it felt like Oliver's.) And as if the store was showing off, every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. For me, this kind of place is specialty shopping, and the prices reflect it. I look forward to returning with way more time!”

“Great shop and nearby a nice neighborhood. My opinion may be baised since this grocery store is about a 5 minute walk from home, but I can count on getting the essentials. Always a treat as well?”

“One of the best coffee destinations in Southern Marin. I just wish the café were open longer hours. The sandwiches from the deli are also excellent. I especially like the Italian. The owner is often around and is incredibly friendly and helpful. It just has a really nice warm vibe and is a wonderful place to sit on a Sunday morning rain or shine.”

“Cute little country store out in the middle of the community. Stopped here cause it said deli and I wanted to try a sammich. 10/10 no regrets. Prices extremely fair for the location, quality is great, and I love the small town feel. There's also a part of the store where you can buy a bottle of wine. I didn't ask if you could open it while you eat your sandwich but I can totally see myself coming back in the future and doing just that. There's a little fridge with nice cheeses you could buy and eat with your wine. I loved that there was indoor and outdoor seating. Very accommodating for weather changes. This place is so cute. Love it. Wanna live here and make it my local country store.”

“Omg! Best Mexican food in Marin! Beef empanada's, carnitas nachos, shrimp tacos were all SOOO delish! Will be back … wish I lived closer… would be there a lot!,”

“This is the cutest grocery store that combines local and gourmet goods. We popped in here after a hike and were on the hunt for lunch. We got one sandwich and some chili. Everything was pretty good, but not amazing (3-4 stars for the food), but we ended up doing some grocery shopping as well and that was 5 star quality. They have a great butcher and fresh veg. To note they have a fair amount of outdoor seating, however, it was raining so we had a car picnic!”

The unique and delicious items they offer, often at great prices, make every visit a real treat. What's more, their dedication to sustainability and customer satisfaction is truly commendable. If you're after an incredible grocery shopping experience, Trader Joe's is the place to be!”

“Embarcadero Center Gem: Unwrapping the Delicious Secret of 5th Avenue Deli & Market I was looking for something new to try when I got hungry, so I asked my colleague for a recommendation. She suggested 5th Avenue Deli & Market, a small, hidden gem tucked away in the Embarcadero Center near the corner of Clay and Drumm streets. They offer a large selection of sandwiches, non-alcoholic drinks, and chips to accompany their creations. Since I'm not a picky eater, I asked the friendly cashier what their most popular sandwich was. Without hesitation, he declared, "SanFranPsycho!" This sandwich features honey turkey, bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic butter, pesto, and Cajun mayo, all piled high on your choice of bread. I went with sourdough, gutted out and toasted with everything. While 5th Avenue has no indoor seating available, there are benches outside in the Embarcadero Center. I took it back to the office, and with the first bite, I was in love! The sandwich was perfect - the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted, the flavors exploded in my mouth, and it was incredibly filling. I'm officially a fan! If you work nearby and have a sandwich craving, check out 5th Avenue Deli & Market. This is one sandwich experience you won't regret!”

“Scotty's has a great deli and a wide variety of shelf items. The personal are friendly and helpful. As an upscale niche market, you'll pay a little more, but you won't have to deal with the money crunchers.”

“What a wonderful little bodega! They have so many products to cook authentic Spanish meals - complete with cooking and serving wear you'd find in most bars and restaurants across Spain. I didn't have time to browse the wine selection but they seemed to have a great variety. It's also a great store for to put together a white elephant gift basket...I'll be back soon!”

“We'd like to express, our deep gratitude for store manager Kanoa Aipia who assisted a disabled patron. His immediate understanding of the situation, and willingness to help on the spot speaks volumes about character. That kind of goodness spills out like a resonant wave over the whole team. And you can see it in the positive energy throughout the store.”

“I visited this store for the first time. I admired the cleanness and organization of this place. The service was excellent. It is a small store, but it has a lot of good Peruvian products. I hope this store will soon fulfill pickup or DoorDash orders because it is located on a busy street (Fourth Street), and sometimes it is difficult to find parking close by.I recommend checking the expiration date of the product you would buy. I bought a couple of items that were expired. I didn't bother to return them. Lesson learned.”

“3.5 stars. Spacious store with a large selection of dry and frozen groceries. $20 minimum for credit card transactions, else a $1 surcharge. I wish they had more fresh produce, but you can find plenty of those outside at nearby produce markets. It's certainly not nearly as big as 99 Ranch or HMart, but it might be the biggest in this neighborhood.”

“The food at the cafe is pretty good though the service was very slow today even though it was not crowded. Also note that the iced tea is “seasonal” so may be an unexpected flavor. Today I ordered it and ended up with something I’m allergic to! I hit up the store across from the cafe when looking for non alcoholic drink options.”
