Update:
It turns out the issue might have been with the hub. That said, I still believe my concern in the original review about educating customers would go a long way in defusing situations like this. Simple communication, such as saying, "We get our shipments at 6 PM, and if your tracking doesn’t update by then, it’s likely you’ll have to try again tomorrow," would make all the difference.
Also, I’ll be writing to UPS about reconsidering the “track my delivery” feature. While useful, it can be misleading and cause unnecessary frustration, especially when things don’t go as expected.
Original Review:
I placed an order almost a month ago, and it was shipped within the last week. The first delivery attempt didn’t work out because I wasn’t home to sign for it, so it was sent back to the UPS hub—no problem. The next day, it was re-routed to this UPS store as I had requested. All good so far.
However, today, things took a frustrating turn. The tracking showed my package was out for delivery to the UPS store. I used the "track the truck" feature, and when I saw the truck was nearby, I decided to head over. When I arrived at the store, the UPS truck was right there outside, so I politely asked the staff if they could check with the delivery person to see if my package was on the truck.
Instead of any attempt to help, I was completely ignored. I was told over and over that if the tracking didn’t say "delivered," my package wasn’t there—without anyone even bothering to check with the driver, who was right outside the store! I wasn’t given any information, no explanation, nothing. It was as if my request didn’t matter. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with this location, particularly with one employee that is consistently rude every time I go in.
Look, I get it—if the driver is on break or still making deliveries, just tell me that. I’m not unreasonable. But to be brushed off and given zero effort or communication is unacceptable. The driver even slipped out the back while I was still trying to get some answers.
The lack of basic customer service, combined with the unreliable delivery times, is beyond frustrating. All I’m asking for is some courtesy and honest communication. It really shouldn’t be this hard. Staff should do a better job working with customers in explaining what's going on with packages they are having sent to the store. I know they don't know everything, but simple things like saying, "We get our shipments at 6 PM, and if you don't see your tracking update by then, most likely try again tomorrow," would make a world of difference.

Very rude staff , they are in business purely as there is no other ups store around , hopefully ups will open more stores nearby so we don’t have to suffer rudeness of their staff

Again send UPS package suppose to be send to Montana but was delivered to Stockton, CA. This UPS facility allows theft of package especially for small businesses. UPS just covers it up for them and doesn’t do nothing about it.

This place obviously steals people's packages. There are literally dozens of reviews by people who have tracked their packages to this location only to never see it get delivered.

Everytime you bring Amazon items for returns , they just reject, should not give business to this guy. Horrible service.

This Ups is a standard ups store and gets things done however if you have a amazon return be prepared to receive some sass from the manager and everyone in the store! They will not even tape your box for you. I understand if I didn't tape it and using your resources is not free. Just kindly tell me to buy some tape instead of rudely telling me you refuse to tape it and ignore me for the next person in line!

Would give 0 stars if I could. UPS lost track of my package. Cost me $1400 that I'll never get back. Thanks UPS! ?Edit: UPS lost track of immigration documents, forcing me to send another set. The first set reached the destination but i had no way of knowing that, the second set I sent through the Post Office, now I have 2 charges of $1440. USCIS does not give refunds. Thanks again UPS!You say people should feel confident shipping with UPS haha nice joke. I felt confident until UPS lost me $1400. Never again

This place charges you for Amazon returns.I purchase ALOT through Amazon and periodically have to return items that are not needed or dont work. I always use the UPS Store and have returned in different stores through Sacramento without issue. The way it is supposed to work is that you drop off the amazon packages, they scan the QR code, they then bundle all of the Amazon returns and send them back. No cost. I have never had any UPS store charge as that is how it works.I came here for a return as I was in the area and they forced me to purchase a bag so that they can return the item. The bag was only a couple bucks but still that is not how Amazon returns work. So just be aware that this place will force you to purchase packaging for Amazon returns. Go to another UPS Store location that doesnt charge you which is how it should be.
