No one answered the phone or text messages to set up appointments. The Lawndale location has an older lady at the desk who mumbles when she talks and throws out insulations when you ask to speak up. Last time I came in cause no one answered phone or text. Multiple insults also.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to rate this place a 2 or a 3, because I had mixed experiences here. I came here for my physical therapy evaluation a year ago and the therapist was FANTASTIC. Kind, lovely, etc. I was looking forward to coming back but then ended up having to move and the location ended up being very far from my home. I called back to possibly go to physical therapy there again for another injury, and the receptionist was TERRIBLE. She was mouthy, condescending and kept cutting me off in the middle of my sentences. She even had the audacity to lecture me, then tried to convince me not to schedule an appointment there. When I stood up for myself and I told her to listen to me and not rudely interrupt as she was not even hearing what I needed in my full sentences before pretending she could read my mind, she became even more rude. Finally, I was able to schedule an appointment but I am so happy to say she was a headache and I'm successfully going to a different spot not as to not have to deal with her again.

The PT staff are helpful, however the front desk in the Lawndale location are unfriendly. Long Beach location are unorganized and the doctor is never there. Would avoid this business.

This review is on the administration of this therapy office. The service provided during my father's initial visit was unprofessional; the receptionist did not have the required skills to speak to the patients because she demanded specific tasks like a collection of insurance, ID, and waivers instead of asking for them politely. Later, after this initial meeting, we settled on appointment dates and times for the allotted therapy sessions. However, this therapy center has turned my father away twice from his scheduled appointments, and he has now been asked to call every day he has a scheduled session before arriving. (Then why schedule appointment sessions?)Overall, the disorganization of this therapy center is what is causing this bad review. I will not be taking my father back here.

Do you like fancy, friendly, encouraging people that most certainly love high fives but respect the rules of Covid? How about learning some sweet moves and necessary exercises to help you on your rehabilitation journey? Do you want to ride a bike in a pool? If you've answered yes to any of these questions, then look no further! If you answered no, then I seriously question your decision-making abilities and have to assume that you are a box of no fun. Motion Plus is, by far, the best place that I've ever been for physical and aquatic therapy! The staff really cares and wants what's best for you. Like any rehab facility, you get out of it what you put in. We all have bad days, but a positive attitude goes a long way! I also really enjoy chatting with the other clients! The pool is warm and refreshing. It's also easy on sore joints and backs. I highly recommend trying it out. So, if you're on the fence, (which you shouldn't be if you're looking up physical therapy. That's just dangerous. Get down from there!) then give it a try! It couldn't hurt more than what's already ailing you. Stay Fancy, -Melissa

I called on 1/3/22 to make an appointment. I sent copy of my medical I'd, driver license and order from the doctor and they told me that they would call my insurance and call me back. Called on 1/6/22 to see what was going on and they told me that they will call me back within the hour to schedule the appointment. Called again yesterday and was told that they could not get thru to my insurance and that they were really busy. I called Physioworks and within 1/2 hour they were able to get ahold of my insurance and was set up with 6 appt for the next 3 weeks.. please do not use Motion Plus they are rude and incompetent. I figured that if they can not dial a phone number I can just imagine what kind of physical therapy they do...Incompetent, incompetent and rude staff...

I called to make an appointment and the lady, who by the way was not very nice, took ALL my info, including authorization info, and said she would call back the following day. Well, that was 10 days ago and she didn't call back, and every time I call, they're "not available, please call back later" or smtg like it. If it's been this difficult just to get an appointment, can't imagine the service after

Absolutely love it here, everyone is always so nice. Definitely getting some pain relief coming here. Doctors are very knowledgeable and so is their staff. I read the reviews for this place and sometimes they don't answer but guess what I do ... I keep calling. Once I've called twice I usually get a text message or a call back. They deserve a 5/5 rating Everyone here works very hard and obviously very busy because they are so great. Keep up the good work.

I was so excited to finally get a return call from Motion Plus after MONTHS of calls, texts and emails that went ignored during Covid19 closures and I must say that when I am able to get into the pool, that the pain in my body is significantly improved, even if it only lasts for a short time. When I first began sessions, I was given a specific series of movements with repetitions and stretches over the course of the hour-long session to improve an injury that had gone unaddressed from February 2020 through April 2021. The reason that the injury was allowed to linger unaddressed was in part, because no one at Motion Plus would ever answer calls, return calls or respond to texts or emails. Two week ago I was told that my hour long session had ended just 25 minutes after entering the pool because patients had been booked too closely together and without regard to patient needs. I thought that it was a one off. On Monday I observed 7 people in the pool where only 5 are allowed. My session time came and went and after 20 minutes, I left because the sitting was too painful. Today I was notified by the new pool clerk when leaving, that "Dr. Jen" has cut all pool sessions from one hour to half, effective Monday. This is outrageous because there's no possible way to adequately warm-up, which takes 8-10 minutes, then move through the already assigned series of exercises with repetition , followed by adequate stretching to prevent further injury in 30 minutes. The majority of patients in the sessions I attend have chronic and acute pain, limited mobility and cannot possibly get effective treatment in the reduced time. It seems like the business just wants to stack as many appointments as possible for the purpose of billing which puts patient health and progress at serious risk. I am aware that my referring physician intended my intervention to be complete to meet MY needs and I am aware that the business is billing my insurer for a full therapeutic hour, while not delivering on the services for which they have been paid. This new protocol puts existing patients at risk for set backs/injury in whatever progress we have made and appears to be ONLY in the best interests of the company's bottom line. This is NOT patient care.
