Experienced a flat going through the grapevine. Went to Magz just to inquire about repairing the tire. Not only did they repair the tire, but due to our time schedule, they got us right in. Customer service was great, service was prompt. The staff took care of us, and we were able to make our designation on time. Thank you Magz!

I got a tire puncture on a road trip and thankfully Magz was close by and was the only place open on Sundays! They got me right in and back on the road in no time at all. Friendly service and fair pricing! Highly recommend!

Hands down the worst shop I've had to deal with. Edmond's 24/7 towing they're attach to isn't 24/7. Spent 3 hours pushing my car to this place. Left a note in the night drop box. I called the next day around noon just to make sure they had my info. Got called 2 hours later saying my car will be done today. I asked for a quote first. They called back another 2 hours later again saying my car will be done today. Ask for a quote again. They called me back right before closing and ask me what I thought the problem was. Next day I called them about 1pm. They quoted a possible engine replacement @$1700 for engine and @ $2000 for labor. At their labor price that's over 2 days work. So either they're ripping me off or they're terrible at they're job. When I question it they of course replied let me get exact pricing. 2 more days later didn't hear from them. I called back and got all attitude with " I can't find a engine for you". I showed up to get my car. Had to wait 45 mins for them to find the key. Then got a we'll we won't charge you storage fees. Lol. Stay away from this place if you can avoid it.

Hello everyone highly do not recommend this shop first of all tow truck reccommended this shop dont trust them was overheating on our way to shop, they lied and did terrible work they diagnosed me with a broken transmission said it needed to be rebuilt and just switched oil and didnt even switch filter or gasket i wad in need of a electric fan ended up paying 340 for a universal fan wich i never agreed too i asked for an electrick fan fitted for my car and got cheap universal fan instead to make it worse they didnt even install correctly its sopposed to blow air into the engine not ait out of the engine i guess they don’t know what they are doing i wanted to inspect to make sure i was getting what i paid for and they said i wasnt allowed in shop for insurance purposes they finally said i was good to go and i paid over 640 dlls for an electric fan and for suctioning trans oil out and new oil in they asked me to sign paper saying i was satisfied with work i didnt think much and trusted their work as its a big shop must do good work. But noooooo my car broke down 35 miles aheadit overheated again due to the electric fan being reversed i had to pay a second tow that day to get me to La and i had access to my sis car and i purchased new electric fan and installed it , put new thermostat too and new coolant and i was on my way dont trust these guys they do bad work and overpriced if they woul of fixed my car i would of left a good review even if it were pricey i disputed the charge because it is not fair i pay double for their mistakes if u cant fix cars close ur shop

As another reviewer stated, these people are freeway vultures. They probably would have gone out of business years ago if it wasn't for helpless people breaking down on The Grapevine. I guess they are perfectly situated.I was lied to and grossly overcharged. Don't make the same mistake I did.

These guys are shady, they repaired a flat tire and serviced my transmission on my Subaru, I had trusted them. They completely misdiagnosed a grinding noise coming from my car. They said the differential was bad and both the transmission and differential had to be bought together brand new for 10,000 dollars because there were no used ones. I ended up going to Lebec Automotive, Jeff replaced the rear passenger wheel bearing. I got my 120 dollars back from Rick at Magz and come to find out those guys are freeway vultures, I say stay away from Magz unless you want to give them your wallet and everything in your bank account in getting completely ripped off.Services: General repairs & maintenance

It was a hot Sunday afternoon with my wife and four year old son on our way to Disneyland. After making it up to the top of the Grapevine grade, my car suddenly overheated. I literally saw the temperature needle move extremely fast into the red zone and then the check engine came on. After pulling over, I hooked up my OBD2 diagnostic car scanner and it showed two trouble codes. Due to the way the temperature needle gauge moved so quickly, I suspected the thermostat had malfunctioned. I googled about a dozen auto repair shops and, of course, they were all closed on Sunday...except for Magz Auto Repair. Luckily for us, we were only one short exit away and we were able to get our car there without a tow. The shop hours posted at the front door indicate they are closed on Saturday & Sundays so I'm not sure when they began to open on Sundays.Donna, the front office manager, was very nice. She explained everything to us upfront, such as wait time, diagnostic fee, etc. The diagnostic fee is $120.00 if the repair work is not done by their shop. If the shop does the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied to the job. The thermostat, as I suspected, was the problem. The work repair cost that I was quoted was very reasonable. I expected it to cost substantially more, not only because it was a Sunday, but also because the thermostat on my vehicle is not easy to access and requires much more labor. Unfortunately for us, their auto parts supplier is closed on Sunday and so I had to leave my car there until the Monday. There is a Carquest Auto Parts store on the same block but they were also closed.FYI, at this exit #205 (Frazier Mountain Park Road) off I-5, there are four gas stations (Flying J Travel Center, Chevron, Arco, Speedway), a Motel 6 & a Holiday Inn Express, and at least 3 restaurants ( Jack in the Box, Los Pinos Mexican Restaurant, China Red House).Thank you Donna and the mechanics at Magz Auto Repair.

Rick is the best!!! Quick service, really decent prices. I had to change the battery on my Chevy equinox. Chevy dealership in Los Angeles wanted $450. Rick did it for $200.00
