Mobil is a beloved stop along US 395, known for its unique combination of services. It features the Whoa Nellie Deli, which offers some of the best food in the area, making it a favorite for travelers. Though the deli may close in winter, the gas station remains open year-round. The location also includes a gift shop that sells popular hats and allows visitors to fill jugs with delicious Sierra snowmelt water for free. Mobil serves as a great fuel stop, equipped with Rivian universal EV chargers and RV service. It’s particularly convenient for those heading to Yosemite or Mono Lake, offering free air for tires with a reliable compressor. While gas prices may be high, the quality of food and supplies available for backcountry trips make it a worthwhile stop. For many travelers along the U.S. 395 corridor, Mobil is not just a gas station but a cherished part of their journey.
After our backpacking trip, I ate their BBQ chicken pizza. It was soo good I almost cried.

The Whoa Nellie Deli is awesome! Best food in the area in such an unexpected place! May be closed in the winter, so check in advance, although the gas station is open.

Nice mini market with a good price on hats (ball caps), less expensive than in Yosemite Village. Decent grill, too.
