I just went here for a recent TCG event; the staff was pretty chill and happy to help, and the peeps were friendly! There is a large selection of Funkos, figurines, trading cards, and accessories. Additionally, there are plenty of tables with game mats to play games.
Accessories and card packs are fairly priced (with exceptions such as Scarlet & Violet 151 and Prismatic Evolutions, likely due to the high cost from their distributors as of posting). Very useful if you need something right away without having to order online and wait.
Despite my skepticism due to the prior reviews posted here, this is a great card shop in my personal experience, especially considering there are only a handful of card shops in SD. In addition, contrary to previous reviews, they didn't have restrictions on trading or selling between people.
Overall, great store. Very cozy vibes all around, and I look forward to visiting again when I have some downtime.

The person at the Pokémon card section was very helpful and nice. I was able to grab 4 pokémon cards that are very hard to find for fair prices. Highly recommend!!

I've been to this shop many times because it's nearby. It has an okay selection of Pokemon singles, and there's a decent amount of product. However, the prices are all way above market price for both packs and singles. At the minimum the cards are 30% higher. You'd be better off getting your cards directly from eBay, even with the shipping cost. Also, the customer service here isn't good. The dudes care more about watching the football games on their TV than their own store. I don't recommend coming here unless you have no choice.

Best prices for Magic the Gathering stuff. They are starting up a somewhat casual commander night on Tuesdays at 6pm which has been a lot of fun. Don't know why so many reviews are so sensitive about the staff. They are always helpful to me and all of my friends. Yeah it's a family run shop and God forbid they have to change hours sometimes for emergencies, events, and issues they have in their lives. I have been to many other card shops that I won't go back to because of the way I was treated but this is the only one I go to anymore.

I've come here a few times and the people they have working there are always in a bad mood or act like they have something better to do. Cards are overpriced and good luck getting the cards you like. If you ask me just make the trip and stick with San Ysidro Games Too. Way better people working there and they always have the cards.

Amazing selection and collections. Geared more towards yugioh and Pokémon tournament. Will definitely be coming back for whatever I need.

I recommended this place to a friend and she bought her collector packs as I was roaming looking at for cards. She bought a couple of the packs and wanted to open them immediately. They were tough to open and then I noticed as I felt a pack that they looked like they were resealed, then upon further inspection I told her they used some type of heat device to mask it.. extremely disappointed.

It's the only shop for Yu-Gi-Oh singles in San Diego so I have to come here but this is the worst card shop I've ever been to. They are always extremely rude, they have no website or any way to reasonably find out information about when the store is closed or when hours change. They have a huge collection of singles but won't bother searching through them if you have more than 10 cards you need and since they have no website you can't ever buy more than a card or two. Their cards are also extremely overpriced compared to online prices. I keep coming back to try and support them but I get burned every time I do. This is probably my last straw, I'll just wait for online cards from now on

Pretty good shop with a good amount of cards and other items. Was able to find a Zapdos that I needed for my 151 collection.

Very great store & friendly staff, helped my figure out what I was looking for & even had great prices for everything it was hard not to just buy everything lolQuality of everything was good (Went for pokemon cards, however they have a VERY large selection of other cards too), in fact first box I got from this store I pulled a alt art Espeon, safe to say I'll definantly be back to buy more!

This Local Game Store is one of the San Diego area's hidden gems. The staff were all a pleasure to do business with and the selection of singles and accessories offered is one of the best in the area. The pricing is also super competitive. Coming from an area of California where the LGS scene is non existant at the time, this LGS sets the standards for everything an LGS should be. I recommend any locals or visitors come here before any of the competition. Especially if you are a Yugioh player.
