Avoid this place at all costs. There might be one capable person that works in tool rental. They could easily cut staff by 75% and lose no production.I rented an insulation blower and the female that rented to me didn’t test it. I get home and of course it doesn’t work. I bring it back, they test it and it doesn’t work. The guy at the desk says I need to call a manager and proceeds to help other customers without calling a manager. 20 min later he calls a manager, he looks at the computer for 20 seconds and leaves. They go to finish the refund but he needs managers code. The manager is gone so now we have to wait again. 20 min later he arrives again and is there only a few seconds and starts to walk away. I finally spoke up and please stay until we know the refund is done. While we waited more than 40 min we contacted the Eastlake store. They held a machine for us. What a difference in competence! Machine worked, hoses were neat, clean, and organized. Daniel helped us and he knew exactly what he was doing and even helped me load the machine.Do not rent from lemon grove. You will be sorry you did.

30 minutes to unlock a roll of electrical wire. 4 different employees. Had to go to the front and get a manager.

Requested an exterior paint and primer special order, I realized when I left that it was interior paint. I called and was told to come in and they would fix it. Once I arrived Johnny Jimenez would not honor what I was told over the phone when it was there mistake to begin with. I understand that I walked out, but you figure they would give you what you requested.

When you ask for help they never help you or the wait it's 30 min or longer to look for someone to help you! The worst Home Depot, they have to have a good manager to control a big store like that!

Ordered a Door with installation on May27th 2023. Was told I would get a call within a week to get approximate manufacture date of door...Two months later and still no call. So I call them and they tell me it's going to be at the store about the third week of July and I would get a call...August 7th I call because I never received a call and they tell me the door will be at the store the next day and they will call to let me know it's there...August15th still no call. Now i check on order online and nothing...I call the main customer service center to cancel the order and they can't get a hold of the store either... been on hold for 30mins so far... This shouldn't be that hard...Update... So now I am supposed to wait for a call from a "Specialist" according to the store manager... Still waiting for the call....Update#2... Next day so now I am calling the service center again because I never received a call from the "Specialist" ... on hold again...Update #3... I had to call them again and again I was told that they had the door made and would be delivered... a few days later it did not come.Update #4... They assured me that the door would be delivered on the following Monday... still no callUpdate #5... On the phone again...

Great curbside response.Just ordered three ac/Hear units, it took less then a week to get in. They had lots of ac units but we wanted heaters also with our units. Others storesDid not have available at all, the price was less expensive then Lowe's also

I would not recommend coming here for any appliances. My fiancé and I ordered a refrigerator and a dishwasher because we could get them quickly and around my due date. The night before they were supposed to deliver (expected delivery date 12/8), they pushed it back to 12/31. It's disappointing, considering we expected these items to arrive on their scheduled date. Now the appliances are delayed for another two weeks. Reading other reviews online, I'm interested to see if they will even show up on NYE. I needed the appliances for storing milk and sterilization of the bottles. Very disappointed and would steer clear of Home Depot and its appliances.

George from tool rental was really unprofessional, I rented a 36” trencher just now and I had to get it under a phone sale. At first he said we can’t do a phone sale in the tool rental, and I had just came from another Home Depot renting a 2-man ogger. (Phone sale) they didn’t have the trencher at that Home Depot. So he finally figured out how to do it and was rude the whole time. Should not work in customer service

George in tool rental is a very professional caring representative of your store. I appreciate the tool rentals because it allows me to knock out projects that I'd otherwise be unable to if I had to buy the tools outright. Mind you, our family has patronized HD for decades and I go into the store regularly. Not only that, I've rented equipment there numerous times. In addition, I'm in the retail business, so I appreciate good customer service. You can tell when a customer rep appreciates you as a person and a patron, wants you to return to the store and wants one to leave thinking highly of the store. He never asked me to do the review. I volunteered to do it because I felt he was exceptional as was my experience in the store. George is efficient, polite and very knowledgeable about the tool rental department. Not to take away from him that he may be awesome in other departments. I met him both on the phone as he took my call to answer questions, and then happened to be at the desk when I got there. He was very polite both times and he just knows how to talk to people. He cares about keeping your customers satisfied and returning. He's able to communicate effectively across the ethnicities and cultures in a respectful pleasant manner. I hope he gets a raise soon. He certainly deserves one.

I just experienced stellar customer service from Art King. He cheerfully processed my return. Then when I asked how to get help purchasing vags of soil, he got a cart, loaded up what I needed, charged me and then accompanied me to my car and loaded the soil. Along with this was a very fun, lighthearted conversation. I've had nothing but good service from Lemon Grove Home Depot, including appliance delivery and a large order of building materials. This is my go-to place for home improvement. And Art is the King!

I went looking for a battery charger for my drill and the young lady in customer service did a fast and great job of finding it online and ordered it for me. Thank you Briana (hope I spelled your name correctly).

Update to my previous review: I sent a letter to the Home Depot Corporate Office, 2455 Paces Ferry Rd. SE, Atlanta, GA 30339-1834. I explained about the extreme rudeness that I received from the out-of-control employees at the Lemon Grove Home Depot. Several times I asked to speak to the store manager and was told each time that he was in a meeting and unavailable. You can ask any employee to see the store manager there and the quick response is that he is in a meeting and unavailable. The employees are like robots and programed to say this. From what I can see, no one is steering the ship and part time employees are running the show. About one week after I sent the letter, I received a phone call from Ms. Amber Shropshire with the Home Depot's Executive Escalation Team in Atlanta Georgia. I explained to her the problems I was having and never able to speak with the store manager to resolve ongoing problems with Will Call of building materials. They were selling items that I had already paid for causing a huge delay and added costs with my project. Within 5 minutes after we finished our call, I received a call from the store manager. He seemed pretty much in a daze but was not rude, unlike his employees. Fortunately, I was almost finished with my project. My recommendation going forward is to contact the Executive Escalation Team whenever a problem occurs and cut to the chase. Ms. Shropshire's direct phone number is 800-910-6704 ext. 85693. She is very pleasant and I'm sure she will help you.
