Online order wasn't available at pickup. Arrived there to pick up prescription food only to be told that it'll take a week to confirm the prescription on a same-day order. There is no way to cancel the order unless I call corporate. Had there been a notice that prescription foods ordered online are not able to be picked up the same day I wouldn't have made the order.

So I do not have an issue against the Banfield hospital or staff, but the Wellness insurance itself. Before you choose a pet insurance, make sure you honor the 12 months.Back on August 2nd, I got dental work for my dog Chance. Without insurance the cost would have been more expensive. So anyways after I got the dental work, and paid for the services with a “Care Credit” card. I cancelled the insurance or so I thought, and went on my way. December comes around and I get a bill stating I owe $500+. To me I’m like okay… the representative didn’t do something correctly and I gave them a call. Long story short, it was never cancelled and no record of me calling to cancel it. I was pissed but calm. Asked to set up a payment plan… apparently they do not honor payment plans as “I did not honor paying them each month”. But it was suppose to be cancelled…. ?. To catch up on my plan, I need to pay the $500+ on the spot or to cancel the plan I needed a whopping $1500.00 to cover the plans. Keep in mind I have not used them or their services for months. You Insurance bureaucrats and scum bags.

I always have great experiences when taking my pet to Banfield! I’ve used the Carmichael, CA and Lincoln, CA locations and both were excellent. If you are in need of an excellent vet, look up Dr. Evan Adler at the Lincoln location!! He is one terrific vet and always gives my kitty the most thorough exam I’ve ever seen! Thanks Dr. Adler!

Unable to help us in an emergency but did refer us to someone who could. Very well stocked. Recommended place overall

My precious pup Duke. We made the decision to gently send him to the other side last week. As hard as this decision was for us, Lincoln Banfield and Staff made this process comfortable for me and our daughter who went with me. Thank you all for making this as easy as it is possible. Duke has had many appointments here and Folsom and our experience has been great. Not all decisions and staff are always perfect but all in all we are satisfied. Keep communicating, that is what us customers need.

Found little kitten on the street being surrounded by crows. He couldn't walk, his back legs were injured and he was bleeding. I was on my way to work and this hospital is closest. They refused to help him. They don't care about animals, it's all about the money

I have been a 14 year customer and have seen a decline in caring and service over the last several years. This was the last straw. My daughter drove 4 and a half hours to make a 5:30 appointment for her dog and was 15 minutes late. They refused to see her dog and the associates at the front desk were very rude about it. The vet would not stay 10 min past their shift to see her dog nor would the Vet even come out to talk to us. I have not seen the level of heartlessness very often but you will find it at Lincoln Banfield.

Now I remember why I stopped coming to Banfield. My dogs regular vet was booked until December for an anal glad expression. I called Banfield since it was relatively close to our house. They got me an appointment within a week, great! I asked how much the appointment would cost, I don't remember the exact cost but I think I was told $35. Upon checking in, I was told that in order to do the gland expression I would have to pay for my dog to see the vet for an office visit despite her being up to date on all her vaccinations and check ups with her regular vet and I had proof that she was up to date. The office visit fee was $75. I mentioned that I was not told about this and was unhappy about this surprise fee. If I had known I’d have to pay for an office visit, I never would’ve made the appointment. They said there "wasn't any notes" stating otherwise on the appointment so if I didn't pay it, they wouldn't see my dog who desperately needs her glands expressed. I'm not going to pay over $100 for a simple glad expression and a completely unnecessary "office visit". Take your pets somewhere else. Posting this so that Banfield will hopefully train their employees better in the future so this type of miscommunication doesn't happen to other pet parents. My dog is terrified to be in the car and go to the vet so we traumatized her for NOTHING.

They seem nice and competent but I cannot stand that they do not let you in with your pet. They didn't tell me beforehand and did not answer the phone when I tried to call and ask so I brought her in. It's ridiculous, no one is wearing a mask in the store but then all of a sudden they care about COVID when you get all the way to the back of the store. If she didn't need to be seen so bad I would have walked out.

This place is pretty great, the Chief Vet is knowledgable and personable. Everyone here has been wonderful and helpful. I am definitely glad I started bringing my pets here.
