Let me start by providing a definition of Autism for Papillion Salon"Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, sensory sensitivities, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. "This has taken me a while to write as I was in shock and saddened about the service my 7 year old autistic son received. The women who had cut my sons hair was extremely unprofessional. Rough and aggressive when handling my son throughout the service. I had advised her that he has sensory-sensitivities and to be patient , and try and verbalize how she would like him to be positioned. Instead of aggressively jerking his head. Please treat everyone with care . My son is not new to getting his hair cut . Other establishments are able to provide care and sensitivity towards those with disabilities. Unfortunately, I moved away and am new to this area . Now in search of a compassionate barber for my son.We are in 2023 ! Facilities providing service to the public should be trained and/or should strive to become educated on servicing those with disabilities. This behavior is unacceptable.Papilion salon take this as a learning opportunity. If you need tools to learn there are many tools online. Dozens of amazing examples of dedicated professionals who have implemented sensory -inclusive practices.Good luck and take care !

A little more than 4 years ago, Nancy at the Papillion was my favorite hairdresser. Now I have returned to California permanently and looking forward to having Nancy cut and perm my hair. She is an excellent hairdresser.

My husband and son have been coming here a bit now and they do the best job ever hands down! Thank you to the man who always takes his time and pays great attention to detail! We love you all!

Been there several times but the last two times two different guys didn’t listen or care what I asked for. The second time I said two times that I just want a #2 blade on the side with no fade and I got a very bad fade... sadly will not be back.

They don't listen regardless of what you say. Don't go. They will literally listen to you, nod their head, and cut your hair.

Lady who cut my hair was rude and unprofessional. Usually get my hair cut by the other guy who works there but decided to let the girl cut my hair. Poor customer service and will not be coming back.

BAD. Terrible customer service. BALD SPOTS AND I LOOK LIKE A ZEBRA. Stripes of hair and baldness. SHE RUSHED If I could give zero stars I would but I have to give it a one. So I went in the store and Nancy was just trying to get people in and out. She rushed through everyone. She finished a customer within 3 minutes. When I sat down she did my hair super fast and rushed. She was moving so fast and hard she left me with bald spots on my head. I went home and everyone in the house said it was bad. I asked for a refund and she will not give me one. She was blaming me instead of taking ownership of her mistake. Terrible. And she deals with the older community and was very rude to them as I was waiting .

I walked by this place again, as I live in the neighborhood and shop in this shopping center. As I did, I noticed the woman who had previously cut my hair there was yelling at an exiting customer. So sad, as this person CLEARLY doesn't belong in business. I would AVOID this place.

Can I give less star? Where do I start...I am appalled and disgusted by the woman haircutter, Nancy. In today's pandemic environment, this place should be grateful that patrons even use their service, (not even sure if this place is legally allowed to operate today). Instead, her attitude, rudeness, rush job, condescending attitude and just plain zero customer service skill was totally unacceptable. I would not feel any remorse if this place closes down. I am all for supporting small local businesses but not if small business is ran by someone with this attitude. I'd rather give my $25 to a Supercut/Great Clips haircutter with a great attitude and offers superior customer service (too bad they're closed due to the pandemic). Hello Placer County Health...do yourself a favor, get a cut someplace else and be treated with dignity and pleasantness. Or if you'd rather deal with this pathetic woman named Nancy, don't say I didn't warn you.

Horrible costumer service, Nancy was a disrespectful person towards many people, she isn't even supposed to be open during this time of a pandemic, she was rushing my haircut, pressing down which was painful. When telling her what I wanted for a haircut she started to lecture me that I have to be precise and tell her the numbers when I'm a 70 year old man just trying to get a haircut. Her mediocre haircutting skills does not make up for her attitude. She needs to realize that she is lucky for still making money and there are people still supporting her business before they don't come back. Terrible
