“I took a spontaneous detour into the Blue Door Antiques when I was having a day where I needed my mom, on the 2 year anniversary of her passing. Mom was an antique enthusiast. The distinct familiar scent of antiques brought back the comforts of mom, if only for a short while. I browsed the well-stocked isles and remembered the many times that mom and I enjoyed doing the same. Thanks, Blue Door, for being awesome and keeping memories alive.”

“Wow ! What a hidden gem here in Livermore. My husband and I went in shortly before Christmas to check out the beautiful pieces we saw in the window. We were greeted by a warm, genuine and kind man named, Niles. He took the time to explain each piece I was interested in, was so knowledgeable and truly enjoys sharing stories about these beautiful pieces. He just beams with pride as he tells you about his love of clocks, his grandchildren and family. I found a piece I just loved and he made sure it was ready for delivery the week we returned from vacation. It looks beautiful in our home too. I will definitely be back. Niles has so many beautiful, intricate and timeless pieces. I would definitely recommend you take a moment to check them out. Thank you again, Niles. Brian & Jenny Thorstensen”

“Went on the hunt to two sentimental pieces fixed up. I had a hell of a time finding a silversmith but a local jeweler recommended this place as they only did platinum and gold rings. The place is unassuming and kind of cluttered at first sight but there are literal hidden gems everywhere. The store owner Scott knows his stuff! He's eccentric for sure but a brilliant craftsman and has a great passion for what he does. Once you get him talking, you understand how invested he is in his craft. Doesn't have conventional customer service skills but does have genuine joy when customers are happy with his work. And the price was reasonable. $30 for upsizing my ring and $20 for my other project. (Not posting as it is a gift). I left a very happy customer and will be back for a few of his custom pieces. If you are a thrifter, silver wearer or just love thing-a-mabobs, this place is for you!”
