I have been to many butcher shops and this is by far the very best!! The family that runs it is extremely helpful and they are extraordinary cooks. I 100% would recommend stopping by to anyone in the area. Thank you Cusimano’s!!

This might be the best kept secret in Livermore. A butcher shop/deli in downtown. There are family-owned businesses, and then the are family businesses. This is the latter... they are in business to serve a family and make every customer a part of it.I stopped by for a sandwich having never been there before and being curious--not many butcher shops around these days. It's a small shop with lots of interesting products for BBQs, etc. it was not immediately apparent to me how to go about ordering a deli sandwich so one of the merchants came around and showed me the ropes! Awesome!Though empty when I arrived, in the few minutes it took to make my sandwich, the place began to fill up with people ordering cuts of meat. Like the old days, the butcher puts the meat on the scale right in front of you. The quality looked outstanding. The butcher also seemed to know some of the patrons by name.Everyone there was genuinely nice and appreciative of my business. The big plus: the sandwich was sooooo DELICIOUS!!! Pastrami and Swiss... and yes, I got the bacon jam!Now I can't wait to go back for grilling season....they have the meats!

We were visiting from out of town and a family member recommended this butcher shop. Wow, this place is fantastic! They have an incredible selection. And everyone that worked there was so friendly and helpful. We came looking for a specific cut of lamb and they had exactly what we needed and took the time to help us figure out our order. I really wish we had a place like this back home. We would be regular customers.

Family owned & operated and it shows! This a chuck I bought and roasted at home!Quick recipe: get a baking dish with a lid, like a Dutch oven.Cover the roast in salt and pepper.Brown all sides on high heat.Put in Dutch oven with the lid on, set oven to 350 for two hours.Turn temp down to 250 for 4 hoursShred it, put in sandwiches , or have with roasted veggies. Maybe even broil it to make some pieces crispy.Enjoy the easiest roast recipe ever!

I finally made it to the Livermore Butcher Shop and had a fantastic lamb sandwich on rosemary focaccia with lettuce, tomato, red onion and feta cheese. Excellent service, sandwich and I enjoyed looking at all the other products they sell (meat, dried pasta, local beers and eggs, homemade pasta and potato salad). My friend made his own sandwich creation in which he remarked "there's a lot of meat in this sandwich." This is a definite go to spot for lunch and quality meat and some specialty foods and condiments.

If I could give ten stars I would. Livermore Butcher Shop is a fantastic place if you like to eat meat. I am a reasonably accomplished home chef and I really get turned on by shopping for food under appropriate circumstances such as a butcher shop, fish monger, or farmers' market. On the other hand shopping for plastic wrapped meat in a supermarket is a real downer. When I walked into Livermore Butcher Shop I became so ecstatic I embarrassed my companions. On the first visit we bought some wonderful NY strip steaks which I fixed for my son-in-laws birthday celebration. We also bought a big bone in pork shoulder roast which I braised in white wine, mushrooms, carrots,celery and onions until it literally fell off the bone. Even my hard to please grand children thought this was fantastic. Livermore Butcher Shop makes their own sausage (no preservatives!) and have a huge variety. We bought a selection for dinner tonight plus a beautiful skirt steak for tomorrow. At one time I lived in France and had a great butcher who I patronized. This guy loved meat and we had long conversations in franglais about his products. Livermore Butcher Shop reminds me of that wonderful time of my life. The staff is vey knowledgeable helpful and enthusiastic. The shop itself is small but the products are well displayed. Do yourself a gigantic favor and drop by for something great for dinner tonight. Remember YOLO and you'll never regret eating good food.

In 2020 I wrote a review appreciating on the "new" butcher in town. Now, a few years later my husband and I are still satisfied customers. As people of habit, we tend to show up the same time each week with the same order and add in some extras when we're in the mood. We are not only remembered by name when we come but the the meat we typically purchase it pre-bagged in anticipation of our arrival. The conversation is fun and entertaining with a real home-town feel. Good people & good food. I highly recommend :)

Livermore Butcher Shop has been a great addition near downtown. I come here when I want prime cuts of meat for special occasions, and I am never disappointed with their products. The crew behind the counter is really knowledgeable and accommodating, and I really appreciate their willingness to answer my questions and order harder-to-find cuts for me. One time, I bought a tomahawk steak from them, and I called them the next day to ask for advice on how to cook it. That's how much I trust them.Also, don't sleep on their sandwiches. They may seem a little pricey, but they are huge and packed with tasty deli meats and fun condiments. Do yourself a favor and try their onion and bacon jam. It'll make your day!

Great customer service!! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It was my first time here and I had no idea where to order anything. I got a turkey sandwich and they recommended the bacon jam (get it! It's delicious!!) as well so I did. They give you a free cookie that was the size of a small plate! I was soooo full afterwards. Next time I want to try out their different sausages and meats!

I've been here a handful of times and have always enjoyed the quality of the meat I purchased. They have bangers which can be hard to find. I was impressed by the color of the chuck roast and pork shoulder I got last week. They're quite busy on farmers market days but they have a parking lot and there's also street parking. I've only heard rave reviews from friends as well. They also started selling beer in addition to all of their refrigerated and pantry items. I'm so glad we have a high quality butcher shop in Livermore.

Let carnivores beware: This place is addicting! The quality meats, whether it's their world-class sausages (Booty Tickler was both spicy hot and superb!), marinated Tri-tip, steaks, or chicken, can't be beaten!I'm always on the lookout for "Momma's Stuffed Twice Baked Potatoes" which are not only huge, they are a delicious meal in and of themselves.Customer service is first rate and I always end up leaving with more than I intended. There are just too many good things to purchase here!Well done, Livermore Butcher Shop!

The entire staff are amazing! We are a new company here in town and wanted to do sandwiches for a lunch meeting. Paris took the time to write down each name with their order. This resulted in a no hassle distribution of food for the meeting. When I picked up the order (11 sandwiches, chips, pasta salad and potato salad) I was helped out to my car. Everyone was impressed with the food!!! Outstanding job!! We will be back for sure.
