Had a little hiccup today with a steroid based inhaler medication with the VA. The pharmacist at Safeway was extremely helpful and I thank her for trying to resolve the confusing and complicated medical system known as VA healthcare. If you’re reading this, I appreciate your efforts!

I had complained about 2yrs ago about how they don't care if your in pain and etc.... So I felt it was only fair to leave an updated review. The newer staff (meaning in the last yr to yr & 1/2)....is so much better! In fact they are amazing! They actually care about their guests. When I walk up they greet me by name every time, they always ask how my husband is doing or how his surgery went. The point is Safeway listened to our complaints and brought better more professional staff in and I want to say Thank you! We have noticed and it makes a bad day better when you go in there.

This pharmacy does not tell the customer with a phone call that the medicine is ready to be picked up. Moreover, your medicine may not be ready even a few days after your doctor sends the prescription to the pharmacy - you come to get the medicine but the staff tell you to wait 15 minutes for it to be prepared.

Safeway's pharmacy policies are entirely anti-patient. If you have any controlled medication, and a circumstance arises in which you need to pick it up even 1 day in advance, the pharmacist will argue with you and potentially deny you your medication.God forbid you go away for a weekend, drop a pill and lose it, or need to take your next dose before the pharmacy opens in the morning...I would give zero stars if allowed. I would reccomend literally any other pharmacy.

I had a really good experience here, once (when women were working), but then I went back with my daughter, to get her a booster, and the pharmacist (a dark haired short man) was incredibly rude to her. She has a disorder that makes her immune compromised and yet he refused to let her have a Covid booster recommended by her doctor. Mine was so easy to get, and the 10% off coupon was so great, I told my daughter we could get her boosted and then go shopping. What a mistake. He didn't even let her explain she had immune issues- and really, does she have to be grilled over that where everyone can hear? I will never, ever go back here. It's horrible to be treated badly when you are just trying to do the right thing. I'd find somewhere else- anywhere else.

They do not care if someone is in painEven if you legally go the day of your medicine refill they make monthly excuses why they can't fill your script. My husband got hurt legit and they keto him from getting his meds every month. Every single month!!!! I would give less then 1 star if I could

Had horrible experience getting prescriptions filled. Called main office to speak with area supervisor. No call back after 1 week. Today, I have called 3 times, each time call goes to voicemail which doesn’t allow a message to be left. Is there no one working there anymore???Last week went to the pharmacy at 1:30 pm and it was closed for lunch. By the time they opened, there were 10 people waiting in line. I also left prescriptions to be filled, returned 3 days later and they still weren’t ready. Either the medication had to be ordered, or just not filled yet. I agree with the previous reviews: “Avoid this pharmacy if possible!!”.

The pharmacy lady was upset when I showed up 2 minutes to closure. Instead of starting to work she asks me to go to CVS instead. Very rude knowing that CVS would be closed around that time.

I have medication that I have been picking up on a regular basis for years. Now it's been 3 days going on 4 because they ordered it but have no idea why it's not in stock. The old staff was awesome and this replacement staff sucks!!! I ordered the refill 1 week in advance so this should give these geniuses time to order it and have it ready so I'm not sitting without medicine for however long. You call and they give you the same explanation over and over again. I'm sorry we ordered it a while ago and have no idea what happened our computer shows that we should have it Monday after 3. Did any of you think to check and make sure things are ordered and supposed to show up when they are? This is people's lives not some Christmas toy or an Amazon product! This will be the last time I use this stupid pharmacy for my medication, and I will also let others know to switch because this place is a JOKE?!!! IF YOU HAVE SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES CHANGE PHARMACIES ASAP BECAUSE THIS PLACE DOESN'T CARE THEY WILL JUST GIVE YOH AN EXCUSE!!!!
