Bring your own skates they don't sharpen theirs. Rinks are small. Stockton and Dublin are the best

I went to trivalley ice Livermore yesterday with my girlfriend. We were planning to skate for the whole 4:30-6 public skate, but unfortunately could only skate for maybe 10-15 minutes. The condition of their rental skates are absolutely terrible. I had to ask for different skates a few times, and there was always something really wrong with each pair. Some skates were so dull that even as a well experienced competitive skater, I was unable to keep my balance, and immediately had to get off the ice as soon as I had stepped on. Some skates had a broken boot, so it was impossible to keep your ankle and foot in the right positions to just skate normally, no matter how tight the laces were. Some skates had both of those issues!! The skates also always had knots in the laces, which made it harder to tie them, or they had been previously broken and then “repaired” (they were just tied back together, leaving pieces of the laces hanging, waiting to be a hazard). At that point we decided to leave because it was just not working, and I had hurt my ankle trying to walk in the broken skates. I’m extremely disappointed and left the rink injured purely from the bad skates. The rental skates are a problem though, they are unsafe and honestly I wish I had asked for our money back because we barely got to step on the ice with how bad the conditions of the skates are.

I used to love this place so much when I first started out, it was so fun with friends. I switched to Dublin 4 months ago and the management sucks there and here. I love it way better at Dublin due to the fact that the staff are the best! The staff that originally taught LTS and private lessons are now switched to Dublin due to the lack of ice time that the management gives out. Unfortunately management prioritize hockey which sucks because the ice used to be amazing there. There is no longer freestyle sessions (or that are shown online) and in full honesty — over time it keeps getting worse and worse. It doesn’t deserve a higher score because the management isn’t really focused on the rinks in general — only profit. Which is a the reality but I definitely wish there was a balance between their profit and the well being of the customers. Its perfect for people to first start out, but if you are wanting to progress and look for a more professional setting- this won’t be a great place.

This place WAS 5 stars when we first started going here a few years ago. I’m not sure what’s happened with this place since there has been new management. We started skating here regularly on Saturdays about two or three years ago when they had more than a single public skate session in a week. They had 6 or 7 sessions per week at that time. My daughter took learn to skate classes because she became interested in skating at public sessions that are now hardly available. Ever since they purchased the rink in Dublin and had a change in management, it seems management has the rinks competing, with no public sessions in Livermore at the same time as Dublin. I do not know how they expect to get more customers in Livermore when the only public session is right at dinner time on Saturdays only. We used to skate nearly every week, but not with the current schedule. Hopefully they make more public sessions in the near future. Otherwise I don’t know how much more my family will regularly skate here. We have emailed management with concerns over the many changes in scheduling, but didn’t even receive so much as a canned response acknowledging that it was received. Makes it seem like management doesn’t care.

Rink is okay, but the pro shop is never staffed according to their online hours.

The workers here are weird, there is a creepy middle aged hockey coach named David, and they dont care at all about their figure skaters and only about hockey. The rink is super grimy and even though they have two rinks, they are super small and hard to skate on. The workers are SO RUDE…

After repeatedly trying to reach out to them via mobile, email and even tried going in directly to the Livermore location (twice) , couldn’t find anyone to talk to , never got a call back and I finally give up. A very bad and a disappointing experience . They need to make the system more accessible unless they are closed and it is not updated anywhere.

Ice skating year-round? Cool. Really nice staff, too. They even sell hot chocolate ?. Right now Tri Valley's focus is more on organized skating, but free-skate times are still available. Just call and ask when.Personally, I would like to see a little more seating available. Bring a jacket.

My younger daughter attended the beginning figure skating class. I misunderstood the time, so we went to the last class of the previous session. However, the coach and supervisor gave my daughter and the other two kids a chance to learn with a different coach. I don't remember their names yet, but they're very helpful. The coach told me that my daughter's shoe laces were not tight enough, and he helped to tighten them. And the supervisor told me I should buy what kind of clothes for my daughter. My older daughter learned three sessions of figure skating at San Jose several years ago. Although Livermore Ice Building is a lot smaller than San Jose's, we got the chance to talk with coaches and get much more help. At San Jose, I never had a chance to talk with my older daughter's coaches. There were many groups of class at the same time, and I barely knew who was her coach. So many kids and so many coaches. I'm just very happy to attend the Livermores.

This place needs a remodel. Clogged toilets, absent staff. Looks like an abandoned warehouse. Nowhere for spectators to sit.

It is a little outdated and primitive but it's for ice hockey. Small rink.

A really good place they have a pro shop, good skates, a few drinks and food and they also have 2 ice rinks one for hockey games other for public skating or classes. My 2 favorite ice rinks are this one and the dublin iceland one
