LINEMAN/ BLUE COLLAR FAMILIES BEWARE. If I could give 0 stars- I would. What you think you’re saving in tax preparation fees will actually end up costing you so much more. We filed our taxes here in 2021 and were treated horribly by Matthew, as he commented several times about the money my husband made that year. We then received a phone call every year since telling us to book with Matthew, and every time I explained how we were treated and why we would not be back. Do you think they cared? Nope! Instead they phone would hang up and a year later I’d get the same call all over again. Fast forward to this year and come to find out Matthew ignored our residency belonging to another state and chose to file us as residents of another state because he simply “chose” to. As you can imagine, for anyone this is such a big deal, but especially lineman and blue collar families, this has caused a lot legal issues and emotional distress. After speaking to matthew at the end of February/beginning of March-I questioned why he would do this, and he reassured me SEVERAL times that he would immediately fix it and file an amendment. Per his own words to my husband and I, “I promise I’ll fix everything”. Then ghosted us for almost 8 months. Which lead me to finally getting ahold of someone else in the office and finding out Matthew lied about filing an amendment and hadn’t been at work those entire 8 months. I then had a supervisor reach out, Sherri. Sherri seemed great at first and reassured me HR block was taking full responsibility and would be writing a statement explaining how the blame was to be placed on Matthew and HR block to give to our attorneys. Ya, that never happened. She also told us our $10,000 in attorney fees alone would be covered by the peace of mind coverage we paid for and would have her employee get the process going. All we had to do was submit proof of our legal fees. Which we did. Sherri then attempted to also ghost us, and at one point was texting me about a work transfer and called me acting like I was her employee waiting to be transferred to a new location when I wanted an update on what was going on. Sherri then lied and claimed she never said Hr block would pay for anything. Thankfully we had witnesses listening in on both phone calls with Sherri, one of which works in law enforcement. Because since then, Sherri and HR block have done nothing but attempt to gas light us both while treating us terribly for THEIR mistake and lies. Apparently the $200 tax preparer fee being refunded is supposed to fix the mess HR block and it’s employees have created. Not only were our taxes misfiled, but we were lied to for 8 months about them being amended. I also asked approximately 8 times for Matthew’s license number as I was reporting him to the state, and was told he was not licensed, and then he was but just not as a cpa, and then finally, instead of providing it, was told I could “look his license number up” myself by Sherri herself. We are looking at about $20,000 in legal fees and fines from HR blocks mistake and lies. What are they doing to fix it? Absolutely nothing! Which makes sense why there are so many class action lawsuits against HR block. They clearly do not care or respect their clients, and lack any form of Integrity. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE - ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LINEMAN! I have texts and screenshots of everything, feel free to message me if you have any questions at all!

Wow did I made the biggest mistake coming to this location..Not only did it take almost 3 weeks before there was some type of response to my drop off but when I did come to the location there was misunderstandings such as they confuse some of my info..And not only that when it got solved and finished apparently I had owe a lot more then I assumed which made me suspect that they did something wrong..And when they told me the issue (regarding taking out taxes) I genuinely told them I show the paperwork it to my boss prior to have it filed if I got it right..The woman then accused me “Well it still your fault for it to happen”..Ma’am this has only been my second regular job ever I’m still learning !! And then she had the audacity to ask me if I would like to schedule for next time ever!! Nah I’m never going back to this location ever again and in fact I’m likely not going to HR block again

Barbara is extremely kind, optimistic, and trustworthy. I feel so relieved to have her help maneuvering through all my receipts and deductions. I wouldn't do this any other way!

Just had my taxes prepared by Barbara Schwartz. What a jewel of a tax preparer she is! So professional, knowledgeable, thorough and charming. She made the process quick and easy and helped find every possible deduction so that I didn't cry when I heard how much I owed the IRS. ? I will definitely be going back to see her next tax season!

$245 to file federal and state tax return.Quick service 30 minutes max, I sent in documents before the appointment so once I arrived it was just me confirming everything was correct.Professional and helpful, answered all questions.I’ve been trying out different tax service locations and so far H&R Block has been the most expensive.

I done my taxes most of my life with H&R blok and I have a question for my tax the personal tell me I have to go back to the office where they file they don't have any information in the system in this office

Barbara is amazing! Ask for her :) She was super fast and knowledgable, I was impressed. Some of the other reviewers seemed to be a bit slower but she was recommended and definitely lived up to recommendations. She helped me save tens of thousands on taxes - first time filing with complicate out of state property investment taxes I did not know how to file. thank you so much barbara - huge stress of my shoulders.

I had a terrible experience. I dropped off the paperwork. I asked if they needed any additional info. Three weeks go by and I call the office. They said they had no way of reaching me. Long story short I found the representatives inept and frustrating. I will not go back to H&R.
