The vehicle was ready and cleaned. Although the app didn't work the employees were very polite and helpful. The vehicle return was easy. The experience was very good. No issues.

This was a horrible experience, the rep yelled at me for bringing the truck back early and wouldn't stop yelling even when I left the store. When I called to complain to the Lodi branch and U-haul corporate they never followed through, and after 5 times of calling back each time them never finding me in their computer and starting over I gave up. That's why the rep knew she would get away with such bad behavior. I always treat even a yelling rep with respect, don't raise my voice, she was unprofessional and completely incompetent. I filed another complaint online I doubt they care!

Always use the for all my truck rentals. Courteous, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Trucks always ready in great condition and they have never let us down.

Actually enjoyed the transaction here at this uhaul. The guy in dreads was cool and direct, which was great. He was to the point - got business done and we were out of there. Thank you Lodi team- had a good experience for once.

I rented a truck from this location for May 24th and needed to pick it up at 5:30 pm. I was assured by the woman behind the desk that I could, and return it in 24 hours. When I received my order confirmation, the pick up time was 12:00 pm. I tried to call customer service to see if the pick up time could be changed. They needed to route me to Lodi to do the change. No one in Lodi would pick up the phone, it kept re-routing back to customer service. I was on the phone for over an hour and finally gave up, deciding to drive into the store, which is 30 minutes away. There were no customers in the store. The young man that helped me said he would change the pick up time to 5:30, no problem. On the 24th, I received a call from the manager in Manteca, Gil. The notes had not been changed and, if I hadn't picked up the truck by 1:00, I would have lost the rental. Kudos to Gil for watching my order and saving the day! In the future, I would NEVER deal with the Lodi store again! These people truly don't care about their customers or doing their job!

I would definitely recommend this location to rent a u-haul truck. Julie was very professional and provided us with excellent customer service. When we reserved a large truck and it was not available when we arrived she made it right with us. Julie was very laid back and calming; knowing I was upset about the larger truck not being available. She truly made our experience an A+! I will be back.

How do I give ZERO stars? Awful, worst experience ever!! After reserving a trailer 2 weeks in advance and then driving 8hrs from San Diego to take the trailer back one-way, UHaul calls me a cancels my reservation! WHAT?!?!? They say maybe I can come back sometime next week or so and rent one. I had everything lined up for my move the next day. Unbelievable. And the worst thing, they didn't even give a tird about it! Only reason these people are in business is because they dont have competition. Do not count on your equipment being there and definitely dont count on anyone caring about your situation. Pathetic!

I am highly disappointed this was my very first U-Haul rental and it was a terrible experience first off I rented a truck for 10:30 AM and my rental was not ready until 1145 when I arrived I completed the paperwork and I was told I needed to fill up the truck before I came back. The truck smelt terrible and was very dirty but I let it go because I was already behind and I was on a time crunch. My apartment was about five minutes away from this rental location and when I got to my apartment I noticed the gas tank was only half full meaning the last person who rented it before me did not fill it up. I only used the truck for about four hours and when I returned it I showed them my receipt for $60 to fill up their truck and I told them and showed them a photo of the gas tank when I received it. They told me there was nothing they could do for me and that I should have showed them before I left Even though I showed them a photo from five minutes after I picked it up with a time stamp! When I tried to call multiple times nobody answered the phone. I don't think I should have ever even received that truck knowing there was only half a tank in it I paid almost $160 for this rental for only four hours when it should have only cost me about $50 I only drove it about 5 miles total maybe even less. I do not ever write bad reviews but I am so upset with this location and the staff they did not seem to care or want to help . they didn't even bother to make eye contact with me when I picked up the truck and when I dropped it off. I will never go back to this location again if I was being honest I would give them a 0 star rating.

In a complete panic, I ran over to U-Haul on Cherokee in Lodi and the nicest employee (George) helped me out very quickly and professionally. I had run out of propane while unloading a customer with our forklift and I couldn't get them on their way until I had the tank refilled. George was on it and wasted no time getting me in and out of there! Thank you again, I will be back but hopefully under less stressful circumstances.

This store is awful! Rude employees, too! Made a reservation for a 15' truck, drove from my home in Reno (3 hours) to pick it up and they didn't have it. What exactly is the definition of a reservation? I asked about the $50 reservation guarantee...was told their manager won't let them pay it if I take a different vehicle. THAT GOES AGAINST WHAT THE WEBSITE GUARANTEE STATES: "Your reservation is guaranteed or we will give you $50 Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 "Reservation Guarantee" will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation." I took a cargo van, which didn't work out at all for the job. I spent an entire day and a bunch of money for absolutely nothing. While in the store returning the vehicle, the same young woman told another customer that because he folded a box to see what size it is - HE HAD TO PURCHASE IT. WHAT?! This place is absolutely awful. Go anywhere else. Anywhere.

Warning: they are charging after-hours service fees if you drop off your truck after they are closed. I dropped off the truck at 7:55 PM (their sign said open and there were two people behind the desk) and was told that I couldnt leave it there, even though their sign says "24/7 returns". I pointed this out and they said- sorry we changed our policy. I told them I live 15 miles away and left my car on their lot- so I didn't have any other alternative. They said they would charge me a service fee and I would be responsible for any liability for leaving their truck on their lot. Wow- worst customer service I've ever encountered.

Not to blame this facility.... U Haul ... overall. I reserved a truck a week before needing it for a one way move.U Haul dispatcher called me the day before pick up and told me my truck was in WEST SACRAMENTO ! Went there to pick up.... they knew nothing about it and did not have a 10,15,or20 ft truck for a one way trip . They then called dispatch , they had nothing for me. The nearest was 100 miles away.... U Haul is over booking !!! I had to cancel 2 Air flights and ended up getting a round trip truck which cost me double the price. Needless to say I should give them a 1 star if that!!!!

Very poor customer service, needlessly rude, had to get corporate involved more than once to accomplish simple tasks. They violate their own rules and lie about it. Did I mention how rude and poor their customer service is? I mean really, what does it cost to be kind, especially during these times? Do yourself a favor and not do business with this establishment.

THIEFS GO SOMWHERE ELSE!! My son left his wallet in a truck we rented with 200 dollars in it. He worked all summer for this money and has been saving it. (He's only 14) . When I called they said they have the wallet but with no money in it. The manager was rude and denied any of her employees took the money. Even though they thoroughly clean the truck when it's returned. My son has been sick about it and they have taught him a sad lesson, you can't trust adults! I thought that since this is such a large chain they would do something about it, clearly I was mistaken.

I would stay clear of this U-Haul location. They charge me for making a small scratch on the middle of the truck that was already there. And I had the insurance. They also charge me 2 days for the dolly and they said that I unlatched it. But it was not even fastened down when I got it. Of course you should have assumed this is Corporate greed we are dealing with here so you have to assume they will go after whatever they can get out of you.
