“The manager and staff are really NICE all the time. They’re very patient - I can’t imagine all they go through with customers with all the squishy toy hype. They handle themselves well and stay friendly.”

“I went for index cards and got them. I also saw a lot of other fun and cute things. The prices were good, too. Some merchandise is over $5 (I got a remote control car for $7-- worth it, honestly). Five Below has snacks, but it is NOT a grocery store. You will not find ingredients like cheese. If you're looking for stationary urgently, need cute pajamas, a book, or a game, this is the spot.”

“I was out running a few errands and ended up checking out this variety store for the first time. The place had way more stuff than I expected, from household basics to random little things you don't realize you need till you see them. I liked that I wasn't walking around trying to hunt everything down because the layout felt pretty easy to follow. The staff seemed friendly too and one person even pointed me in the right direction without me having to ask twice lol. Prices looked fair and overall it just had a nice local feel to it. I'll probly swing back again when I need a few things.”

“Good products, great deals. It's too bad their closing many of their stores for various reasons. The nearest store to me will now be at least half hour away.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
