Used the spa amenities. I love the tranquility room. So peaceful and relaxing. You get a robe and sandal. The snack and water is so refreshing. Would definitely go back to the spa.

Always a nice experience... Great amenities. Outdoor grounds could use more maintenance attention... otherwise! Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here on Jan. 7, 2024. I usually only generate positive reviews, however I feel I need to warn others, especially given the high price of staying at this hotel (over $400 per night). We cut our stay short after one night and moved to another hotel due to several issues at Wine and Roses.1) WiFi - we couldn't connect on three different devices from our room (yes we reboot them, forgot the WiFi, all the usual things). We made three phone calls to the hotel staff regarding the lack of connectivity. First they said they would look into it. Secondly, it was being looked at. Finally, there was nothing wrong with the WiFi yet we still couldn't connect. We could connect from other locations on the grounds so it wasn't our devices, we just couldn't connect from our room. We are from another country and we rely on WiFi when travelling.2) Paper thin ceilings - we could hear every step the people made in the room above ours, and even hear them coughing. If, for some reason, you choose to stay here even after reading this review, be sure to get a 2nd floor room. Then you can be the stomper and not the stompee.3) Staff party - the hotel staff had a staff party in the restaurant that night. We were informed ahead of time that the restaurant would not be available, so that was not a problem. The party was not overly noisy, at least not from our room. When the staff party let out around 10 PM, however, there was lots of noise outside our room - loud talking, laughing. That would be fine it if died out after a few minutes. Unfortunately, the party for some of the staff moved to the room *right above* us. It sounded like there was a WWE event going on, or a rugby game. We made two calls to complain about the noise, neither of which made any difference. The racket finally subsided well past midnight.4) Cold swimming pool - coming from a country that experiences real winter with freezing temps, having a pool in which to take a dip while in California in January was something we were looking forward to. The pool was too cold to get in. The hot tub was warm, not hot. So no go on both of those fronts. The next day, after a very poor sleep, when we voiced our strong disappointment with the noise above us, a manager called and said he accepted full responsibility. OK. He then went on to say that they would refund the resort fee for us - a whopping $25 on a total of $436 per night. I have no idea why they charge a resort fee in the first place, but $25 for our troubles? How they could allow staff to party in a room above paying guests is beyond me - the hotel was not very busy (based on the empty parking lot) - they could have easily found a room not near anyone else.We asked to cancel our remaining three nights at the hotel and at least they did that without further charge. The manager then offered us 50% off should we ever visit again. Ya, not likely. There are some positives about Wine and Roses - the grounds are very nice, the bed was comfy.Fortunately, we moved to another hotel in Lodi which had a warm pool, quiet and spacious rooms, comfy beds and the cost was barely more for three nights than one night at Wine and Roses.

Never had a bad experience here yet. Bit pricey but otherwise great time.Rooms: Clean large roomsWalkability: Highly recommend walking the grounds. So much greenery that you forget you're in the central valley. Oh and the birds that are on grounds are a nice feature.Food & drinks: Everything is locally sourced. Great food and drinks.

Regarding The Spa at Wine & Roses... What an experience! Such a clean and welcoming space. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is based on my experience of Korean Spa and expecting a sauna (at the very least), steam room and hot tub in the locker room area, because once you go nude, there is no other way! The steam shower is great, I did have to wait about 30 minutes of steaming it up before getting to a temperature worth sweating for.The 60 min deep tissue massage was relaxing and muscle tenderizing to say the least. The only thing that pulled me out of relaxation was the noise from the wedding on the property and occasional loud vehicle zooming nearby.

We went for couple massages on a gift certificate and had a excellent time. Massages were deep tissue and believe me, they hit spots I forgot about. Love to go back.

The spa is great, everyone is friendly and does a great job.The hotel is terrible. Hotel front desk older blonde lady didn't seem to care that I was checking out a day early.Rooms: Front door did not close properly which allowed a lot of noise and cold air in. Bed was very uncomfortable. Fireplace is more for show than heat.Noteworthy details: Come for the spa, don't stay in the hotel.
