“A couple of years ago, I was blessed to find and purchase my first home. My introduction to mortgage payments, home insurance needs, and insurance requirements was all a new experience for me. This was additionally complicated by the need to qualify for the California FAIR Plan, specifically related to my location and the need for fire coverage.
At the time, I was connected with an insurance agent who advised me on setting up coverage for my new home. Recently, I came to understand that my insurance requirements and coverage were not what I had previously been told. When I communicated with my previous agent about the coverage he claimed was necessary and my desire to make a change, I was surprised by his response. He refused to advocate for me in making any changes and insisted that I continue with the same policy, making it clear that he would not assist me in making any changes.
After making several phone calls to find out the exact insurance requirements from my mortgage company, as well as the coverage provided by the California FAIR Plan, I made one more phone call to a highly recommended insurance company: Farmers Insurance.
Within minutes, Annette, a Farmers agent, was on the line. First, she introduced herself, and best of all, she immediately listened. She asked a couple of questions about my policy, address, and situation, and then she really listened again. I explained what I wanted and the unique situation surrounding what I needed. Again, she listened.
Within minutes, Annette understood my extreme frustration and began to verbalize a plan to help me get what I needed. She not only verified the exact details of the request I was making, but also immediately explained how it would affect me if and when it was implemented. As we discussed the plan, she also made me aware of other options.
This one phone call with Annette produced a policy that was fully explained and designed for my needs. She was completely aware of all my options and patiently walked me through them. I am grateful for my new agent, Annette with Farmers Insurance, and for the above and beyond help she gave me.
I am a disabled veteran, and this was a frustrating and difficult time for me. Annette went beyond anything I expected to assist me, educate me, and solve this problem from beginning to end. My new policy with Farmers is set to begin with my new agent Annette.
