Memorial County Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground nestled in the San Mateo County redwoods and sequoia trees. It is a foundation of positive memories, very family and group friendly, and a place families return to for decades. The campsites are well-spaced, some featuring fire rings or BBQs, and the area is quiet and serene with the sounds of birds. A nearby creek is a loved feature. The facility is clean and well maintained across the board. Restrooms and showers have been recently revamped and upgraded; they are spacious, accessible, and family friendly with a baby changing area. Showers are token-operated and provide hot water. The park is located about an hour from the Bay Area, though the drive up is winding. It offers hiking, biking, and is close to Pescadero Beach. Pets are not allowed.
