“This was a lot of fun.
We went online and reserved a space. I liked that we only had to pay for one person to make the reservation, rather than a group rate, and we were able to pay separately there. (Btw, it was electronic payment only. No cash.)
When we arrived, we found parking in one of the paid parking structures. We walked over and had to walk up the stairs to get to the location. It's not much to look at from the outside, but inside is pretty cool.
We walked inside and they were ready for us. We all signed a waiver, and had to show our IDs because they said it's classified as a 'bar' because they serve alcoholic beverages.
There were 7 of us ladies and we had 2 lanes for 90 minutes. Everyone was a novice, but we made it fun and the coach (Sebastian) was great too. He set us up nicely, and kept coming back to help us out, and his guidance actually worked. Lol. He gave us pointers and games to play, which made it interesting. Overall, I would say this was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this outing for a group.
Also, just as a side note, there are several food spots within walking distance if you're hungry afterwards. Or before. (we chose a ramen spot)”

My instructor, Cam, did a great job of coaching and improving my driving, but more importantly, made the occasion a total blast.”

“Cool dinosaurs, like Jurassic Park. Lots of native plants , birds, flowers, and trees. Lots of trails to explore, though they are muddy right now. There is a new kids garden under construction that will have an aerial walkway. Pretty cool. Lake is still mostly dry, even with all the rain we've had. Seems like the cafe is always closed.”
“I came here for a small community theater performance and was impressed by the setup. The space is well-maintained and feels much nicer than you’d expect for local productions. Parking was free and easy, which is always a win in LA County. They also host art exhibits and cultural festivals throughout the year. It’s a great reminder that Torrance has more going on than just shopping plazas”

“Great lil Art Studio in the Bixby Knolls area in Long Beach. Awesome place with different art medium classes & I had my Daughter's Bday party there. Kids had a GREAT time! Really nice owners, cool spot, local, clean facility. Near other shops, bakeries, restaurants, and local brewery. 5 stars!”

“Getting married here was a dream come true. First of all, the Ebell team was extremely easy to work with. Katie and Jen were responsive, kind, and helpful! Their vendor recommendations list was also great!
The Tres LA catering and drinks were delicious. The short rib was melt in your mouth luxurious, and they have a wonderful hors d’oeuvres selection. They also were extremely accommodating and helped us make our menu almost entirely gluten-free!
The wait staff and bartenders were extremely professional and the timing of the food was impeccable!
They have gotten the flow of weddings down to an art form here. The event seamlessly transitions through spaces and the staff changes the rooms over without anyone even noticing.
Lastly, the whole venue is unique, charming, and full of character. Replete with high ceilings, modern chandeliers, abundant natural light, vibrant greenery, and beautiful tile work, the central courtyard is truly stunning. The parlor feels like a welcoming living room that is full of character, with eclectic art and comfortable seating, and even a working piano. Lastly, of course the dining room is elegant and classic with its warm wood and large windows. 11/10 recommend getting married here!!”

“We booked with the Monarch ballroom for private first dance lessons. Courtney was our incredibly kind, caring, and supportive instructor. She choreographed and taught us (very inexperienced with dance) a wonderful first dance routine over 10 sessions. Multiple people told us was the most impressive first dance they had ever seen, including our wedding DJ. She also really accommodated our schedules, and the fact that we decided to pursue this within 2 months of our big day. We had such a wonderful time working with Courtney and made many beautiful memories!”
“Small venue so get in very early (when doors open) to get the most comfortable 16 seats at the only 4 tables in the show. Cast was good and the Edgar Allen Poe story and narratives were very fun. Drinks were weak and not all of the themed drinks were great. Small snacks were available with a small assortment of beers. Wifey and I had a great time on our date and there were more than a few that dressed in honor of EAP. Visitors were fun and a few were energetic.”

“We just seen the Wizard of OZ I must say hands down the most innovative and creative way to display a play and the use of each scene was amazing a standing ovation is due the a very diverse cast even the humorous parts added in. My favorite part was how they literally made a tornado and had the property of a house floating on stage. Thank you”

“Don't stay here expecting modern amenities. Do stay here if you want a glimpse of the past. We stayed in one of the Family Suites with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Room was clean and comfortable, but walls are thin. You will definitely hear your neighbors so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Exploring the ship was amazing. By staying at the hotel on the ship you can basically explore 24 hours a day if you're so inclined. My only negative is that vegetarian/vegan food choices among the various dining options are very limited.”
“Attended a wedding at this location in Palos Verdes Estates, nestled amongst a residential neighborhood in the cliffs over the ocean. Expansive city and ocean views. Accomodates a wedding of close to 100 people. Beautiful location.”
“So many cool exhibits. I've never seen so many starfish and jellyfish before. The kids were so excited to see all the sea life. They have a rain forest exhibit with those cool poison dart frogs. Multiple touch pools. We all enjoyed and it was well worth it. Parking is right there and I paid $12 for 3 hours. Many restaurants nearby. The whole thing was dope.”

“I never expected to find such a cool historic site in Compton. The adobe building dates back to the 1800s and gives a glimpse into early California ranch life. The docents were knowledgeable and really brought the history to life. It’s small but charming, with beautiful old furniture and grounds. A real hidden gem for history buffs”
“First time visit during 2024 Kwanzaa celebration. WOW! Who knew Long Beach had such an engaging dynamic art scene of Black artists! Painters, crafters, all had their works on display. Given the diversity of Long Beach there may also be displays of art from other Melanated people, and others, too. That night I was focused on the Black artists. Still, the variety of artists and art mediums was impressive. Once again, a treasure. A rare gem in Long Beach. It reminds me of the William Grant Still Arts Center in LA. Worth the 30 minutes drive from LA. When you go, buy something. Enhance your home with original art. Support local artists!”
“Beautiful venue for my dad’s Celebration of Life. Swathi was awesome and helped me find the great vendors for the occasion. Restrooms were clean and roomy. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Definitely recommend the Catalina Room.”

“I had just stepped off a plane and urgently needed a quiet space with reliable public Wi-Fi. I gave Unita a call, and Tai was incredibly helpful in getting me set up right away. The space was spacious, clean, and had plenty of available desks. The lighting was great, the atmosphere was calm, and the Wi-Fi was fast and dependable — exactly what I needed. I really enjoyed my brief stay and would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.”
“We’re so grateful for Kyle and the entire JG’s training team at the club. The program strikes the perfect balance between fun and focus, the kids are challenged, supported, and truly grow. They don’t just build strength and endurance; they build grit, discipline, and commitment. Kyle himself is so committed to the kid's success he even goes to some of the testing dates to help kids calm their nerves and remember their swim skills.
Our daughter came into the program hoping to pass the JG’s test, but a very slow swimmer, and we watched her come such a long way. Passing the test was one of the bigger proud moments she has had in her live. Most importantly, we saw her develop real confidence and for us, that’s the greatest outcome of all.
She’s already looking forward to next year, which is a testament to the supportive and motivating environment Kyle and his team create. Thank you for believing in these kids and helping them believe in themselves.”
