I am always impressed with the quality of member service I see when I walk into the Village office of the Credit Union. I am always acknowledged when I enter the door as is every other member who comes in, as we are assured someone will be right with us. The staff is always prompt, courteous and helpful, always ending the conversation after each transaction by asking if there is anything else they can do for me that day. It us a ple visiting this office.

These people tried to steal 2250 from me, I wouldn't work with them again in a million years. Took me hours to sort it out. Management rude, and lacks any knowledge of their systems at all.

I've been helping my Father move away from Lompoc and part of it was removing valuables from a safety deposit box, requesting two months of bank activity for purchase of a new home, and a wire transfer for money from the sale of the home in Lompoc. At every turn our efforts were thwarted by CHCU. They refused to allow my father to use the restroom while we were emptying the safety deposit box, which was the only time my father made that request in the almost 50 years of banking there. Dad requested two months of account activity that would include his name and account number, but all CHCU would send is a partial list with most of the account number hidden. When my Dad called to request a wire transfer to his new bank in a different state they wanted signed and notarized requests to have the transfer. Then they had to be sent by snail mail and could only be received before 12:30 in the afternoon or be kicked to the next day. The whole process would take a week to two weeks thus negating the purpose of a wire transfer. Dad had to write a check and wait 10 days because that was faster than CHCU wire transfer policy. This is one of the worst banking institutions I've ever dealt with and I'm glad I cancelled my account there decades ago. You should bank almost anywhere else.

Terrible organization. Was very good years back, but have gone down hill for the last 5 years. Terrible customer service, due mainly to young illtrained middle management , who seem to be in competition to see who can be the rudest.
