I went into this goodwill and found a Vinyl Record I was interested in buying. This one didn’t have a price tag on it which I knew they were picky about but I wanted it so I went up to the register. She said that because they didn't price it she would have to take it to the back and have them price it. I said no problem (I expected her to do that, I did hope she would realize vinyls are almost always $1 so she could just avoid a hassle by selling it for $1). She left the counter with it and after 10 minutes she came back without it. Before I could ask she said they couldn’t sell it. I asked “why not?” and she said “there wasn’t a price tag on it.” I said “I thought you went back there to price it?” She said “well actually her manager said we couldn’t sell it.” I explained that those are almost always 1 dollar and she said “her manager said not sell it to me.” This record in used condition was worth max 20 bucks because it was a 2012 reprint of the original 80s version. The original was worth 500 dollars and I believe they didn’t know the difference. I said “so you looked it up and won’t sell it?” She said that is not what happened. I said did someone back there want it for themselves? With a little grin she said “nope have a nice day.” I smiled and said “it’s not an original copy and worth only 20 bucks.” Her little smile went away and told me to leave. Goodwill gets their inventory for free and year after year they raise their prices to where the stuff is as expensive as it is new. It’s sad and pathetic.

I loved it since I first entered the store, I am a frequent customer here in Lompoc, the prices are super good, the employees are very friendly and always willing to provide excellent services, I congratulate you, blessings.And I hope to continue enjoying their products, which are of very good quality and prices.

It’s so disappointing but this store has swung the pendulum way over to the extreme with some of their pricing, see photo of Roxy flip flops for $12.99, no they aren’t new, soles showed wear. I bet they didn’t even retail for that!Store also looks awful also with empty racks, clothes piled up on carts, menswear - shirts, pants and even jackets mixed into womenswear, it’s just not the same as it once was…

My first mistake was walking in the door. My second mistake was asking a worker for tag on a dress with no tag. WARNING: NO TAG. NO SALE. Waited nearly an hour for the re-tagged dress to come out and only after we asked for the supervisor.

Same experience as Emily D from a month ago. Passing through from Los Angeles. Emily was generous with 2 stars. Article of clothing missing a price tag. They took it to back room and told me that it will come back out on next rack. About 30 minutes. Which means my article of clothing will be up for grabs by everyone. I waited and still no rack. I explained to an associate that we were from Los Angeles and needed to get going. If she would do us a favor. She said I would need to speak to the supervisor. Instead of supervisor coming out, they brought the rack out. Note to corporate: what customer service model does this follow to make the customer wait for a simple price check/tag?

I was visiting from Los Angeles and stopped in. I was taken back by how organized and clean it was. They do put their racks by color instead of size so you have to look at everything. Ok I get that. But there was a top I really wanted but did not have a price tag. So I asked how much. The lady took it and said I would have to wait until the next rack came out in 30 min. REALLY!!!! They had a GUARANTEE sale. I would have paid whatever it was. But I could not wait around 30 min for it to come back out. Los Angeles does not run this way. They just lost money for themselves.

This is absolutely the cleanest and most organized Goodwill I have ever been to. I live in Los Angeles, so that speaks volumes for how great this location is.

The Goodwill in Lompoc gets free merchandise everyday. No money out of their pocketbook. Yet when they receive all the freebies they don't recycle all the loads of plastic bags they receive everyday. They trash them. And they call themselves a Goodwill. All they care about is the money.

This was the best Goodwill I have ever been to! So clean and organized and the prices were where they should be. Everything east of LA is over priced and low quality.

They would not let me use the bathroom stating they don't have to. They do have to have a public bathroom It's the law! Otherwise I enjoy shopping there and the check-out clerks are always friendly and eficient.
