We booked a room with two queens beds and it was confirmed. On reaching there the front desk reception informed us
”don’t have it” So why take the reservation I bet the guy just lied to us and gave us a really shitty room with one bed
The room wasn’t clean, floor was sticky with some syrup. Tried calling the front desk, guess what the room phone wasn’t working either didn’t feel like complaining it was late at night and the fellow was rude anyway so no point.
No shampo or soaps in the bathroom either
Showers no hot water !
Dirty dirty motel with no service. If I could give a negative 5 star I would
Never again in a Motel 6. First and last time in the Motel 6 chain

Experiencing a launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base from a few miles away was the highlight for me. My curiosity about that was one reason I went out there, while in the region. I definitely heard the loud growing rumble and then what felt like an earthquake. I checked online and, yes, a launch had been scheduled at that time. Amazing experience. My other reasons for staying were to save some travel funds & to accommodate my cat, who sometimes travels with me. Motel 6 is pet friendly. As far as other reviews I’ve read here, I totally get it. Before deciding to check in, I chatted with a few guests near the office because I wasn’t sure either. I weighed it all up and decided to take a chance. This is not the place you choose for a romantic weekend or girlfriends’ getaway. The general surroundings don’t look like the best environment for kids, either. Also, there was a loud plumbing noise near me that went on for half an hour in the evening and there was a pest abatement device outside my room. (At least they’re doing abatement and I saw no pests.)This is an older property. On a positive note, I saw staff working hard. I was treated just fine. My room was clean. The bed was comfortable. To address some people’s complaints in their reviews about shampoo, hairdryers, microwaves, fridges, etc, those aren’t usually supplied at budget motels at this price point these days. Staff may not even have them available & if they do, they are likely to give them to people in the more expensive rooms. I was surprised that I had one of the best night’s sleeps & quietest overnight experiences I’ve ever had in a budget motel anywhere (after the plumbing noise did stop). I think there may be a lot of working people who stay there and maybe some extended stayers, so they probably just want to sleep. In the morning, the cool, misty Central Coast air was so refreshing. Anyone who has problems with anyone on a property has options to call for help. My advice is to never engage with a person who is a problem. Let management or law enforcement take care of it. It’s also better to leave than stay just because of money. I had no complaints. When you check into your room, check everything right away and let management know about any issues so they can address them promptly. This location is very convenient to get to Hwy 1. You will see the turn off to the Space Force Base a few miles to the north. No tours are available. Lompoc has lots of eateries. There’s a great pet supply store across the street.

Everything I needed was within a five to ten minute walk including SuperCuts for a Korean Boy Band haircut, Albertson's for fruit, and Walmart for avocados and eyeliner. Magnificent row of old growth trees along eastern (?) the parking lot perimeter, other varieties on the walk to Walmart. The walk is worth taking for the trees.

Got the key, didnt work went to office they said it can take about an hour to work we will let you in. It did start working after about an hour. NO HOT WATER, I left shower running for 20 mins hoping it would heat up never did. Bed was comfortable enough but without shower I wouldnt stay again.
